Arthur lead the group into the wood, following the lantern lit trail. People were singing, laughing and shouting, the atmosphere was ecstatic.
The group of Weasleys (featuring Tara, Hermione and Harry), talked and joked. Fred walked with Tara and George with Ginny. They found they could walk in silence without feeling awkward, and so they did just that. All of a sudden, Fred turned to Tara, "What do you think this whole 'top secret! event is anyways?' he asked, the eagerness and desire to know obvious on his freckled face, "Do you think it's like a form of the quidditch world cup?"
"That's be wicked" Tara exclaimed, "Could you imagine? Getting other schools over? Maybe even go on a small adventure ourselves." She sighed, imagining the very thought of it, "Would we have to make a Hogwarts Team? Or leave the house teams as is?"
"I'd say make a new one for it" Fred shrugged, "It would be cool though wouldn't it?" he smiled at her, "You would one hundred percent be on the team"
"Could you imagine, if you and I were on the same team?" Tara laughed, "Chaotic"
"To be fair, you and Mitchell Everard make a good pair" Fred admitted, "George and I are literally twins though"
"Imagine if that was the event, though" Tara said in a voice that indicated she was far away in her thoughts, "I could finally practice my French"
"You actually speak French?" Fred asked, eyebrows raised, a smirk playing on his lips "I thought you were joking that time."
"I wasn't" Tara scoffed, "I actually can speak it, last time I checked Fluently."
"Seriously?" Fred asked, looking at her in all seriousness, "Say something then."
"Like what?" Tara sighed.
"Say, 'Hello my name is Tara, I am sixteen and I am in my sixth year at Hogwarts. I play quidditch and am the best of my position in my school'," he said quickly, "Or is that too much?" he finished with a small chuckle
"Bonjour, "Tara started, wearing a triumhant grin, "je m'appelle Tara, j'ai seize ans et je suis en sixiéme année a Hogwarts. Je joue au Quiditch et je suis le meilleur de mon poste dons mon école" She took a deep breath before clearing her throat, "Satisfied?"
"I guess it'll do" Fred reluctantly remarked.
For the rest of the walk, Fred had persuaded Tara to teach him French. By the end of the twnety minutes, he knew how to introduce himself, his age and tell people where he attends school. Before they knew it they were soon in the shadow of a gigantic stadium.
"Seats a hundred thousand" Tara heard Mr. Weasley say to Harry, "Ministry task force of five hundred have been working on it all year, they've suddenly remembered urgent appointments and had to dash away again.... Bless them", he added fondly leading them to the nearest entrance, where they got the directions to their seats.
"Top box! Straight upstairs, Arthur and as high as you can go" advised some ministry employee.
The group clambered up the purple carpeted stairs with the rest of the crowd and soon found themselves in a small box, set at the highest point of the stadium and situated exactly halway between the golden hoops. Exactly opposite them was a huge chalkboard flashing advertisements across the pitch.
"This is mad" Fred remarked, looking over the edge, down at the crowd, he then turned to Tara, "I could throw you down there" he said before sitting down.
"Intrusive thoughts won, huh?" George scoffed, sitting down next to his twin brother.
"Are any of his thoughts not intrusive?" Tara asked pointedly, sitting at Fred's other side, "The stuff he comes out with would lead you to question his sanity."
