Exams for Tara were finally over, and her second last lesson with Mad Eye moody for this year finished. She was beginning to feel the relief. For the last four to eight weeks all she'd been doing was studying, but now she had time to hang out with her friends, spend time with Fred and actually sleep every night.
After her lesson with moody, Tara and Fred decided to spend some time alone outside, the weather was glorious today, and the temperature hot. They took refuge under a tree looking out at the lake, Tara lying across Fred's legs lazily.
"I'll miss sixth year," Fred yawned, back against the trunk of a tree.
"Yeah?" Tara mumbled, hand shielding her eyes from the sun despite the shade the tree had provided.
"Even though we have had an historic tournament take place," Fred started with a chuckle, "It's been the calmest year we've had since my brother started."
Tara nodded, "I guess you're right," she agreed, letting Fred start playing with her hair, "Third year, a mountain troll is let loose and Harry defeats you know who-,"
"Fourth year we were all being hunted by a massive snake, my sister was kidnapped and Harry did the defeating you know who thing again," Fred continued.
"Fifth year, your brother nearly got murdered by a mass murderer who broke into Gryffindor tower-oh not to mention the OWLs," Tara listed.
"Well, we all know I didn't care about the O.W.Ls," Fred joked.
"Your three passing grades said all I needed to know," Tara scoffed.
"Anyways, now we're here and the most dangerous thing that's happened in these parts is that fact that you and I started dating," Fred concluded.
"Scary that Merpeople and Dragons played a part in this school year and that was safe," Tara commented.
"Hogwarts is a very scary place," Fred shrugged.
"And next year the N.E.W.Ts," Tara sighed, "Merlin knows I'll be happy to leave this place."
Fred laughed, "Never met someone who gets such high grades and hates school so much," he looked down at her, "Not to the extent you do."
"I'm here for one thing and one thing only," Tara said, sitting up.
"Me?" Fred asked hopefully.
"No," Tara replied amused, "Quidditch."
"Should've known," he grinned, leaning forward and pecking her lips sweetly, "Do I at least come second?"
"Ok well, second is a very important slot," she pretended to think about it, "A lot of factors go into choosing the spot of number two."
"Such as?" He rolled his eyes, a chuckle in his tone.
"Well to start, there's how much enjoyment it bring me," Tara began, putting a finger to her chin, "How useful it is-," she said, before Fred cut her off, pressing his lips playfully to hers.
Tara pulled away and smirked, "Would it make you happy if I just said yeah?"
"You'd have to mean it," Fred insisted, not even an inch away from her face.
"Then yea, you're in second place," she told him honestly, a genuine soft caring lilt in her tone. She put a hand to his cheek, "Of course you are," she finished before kissing him sweetly.
