From friends to this -Year six (re-uploaded) Book 1/4

Entry 1-December 27th 1994

I've decided to start this entry journal. I want to track what I did every week with Professor Moody. I want to improve and I want to remember every step of my journey.

Today Mad-eye Moody and I had our first session. We spend a good amount of time discussing the minds of people who engage in dark magic. He says it is truly crucial to understand the minds of our enemies, so we can plot the most efficient ways to take them down (learning their weaknesses and their flaws).

He's very intense. Therese no such thing as a best case scenario in situations of combat, he only ever talks about the worst case scenario. It's a bit unsettling at times but I guess that's what he's lived through so it must be reliable enough.

He wanted to get to know my ambitions as a student and my driving force behind my ambitions. I didn't tell him everything but I did elaborate a little on why it all started-although he did kind of guess that from the beginning.

He seemed impressed that I still trust the aurors to get the job done.

We reviewed my case from two years ago and cases similar to mine before focusing on two or three arrests and crimes of the first wizarding war in England. It was a lot less practical than I thought it would be. He would tell me about the case and instruct me to chime in with questions I think were relevant and give me answers if he had them and asked me to make my own guesses if he didn't. He wanted to "pick my brain" and "see where my mind was".

I think this first lesson was fun. I like looking deeper into real life situations and applying my knowledge.

I sure do have a lot to learn but, I can make it work...I'll do what I have to do.

My next lesson is in January around the twentieth or something. I'll keep this journal updated.
