I look outside my window to see rain pouring down, which is my favorite type of weather. Before I can even think about how bad of an idea it is, I run downstairs and get my bike out of the garage, hearing the door open again after me.

"Michael, where do you think you're going?" my mom yells behind me.

"Just to see Will! I'll be back later!" I say, pedaling off into the rain before she can tell me to stop. I pedal as I occasionally wipe the rain out of my eyes, my hair and clothes getting soaked in a matter of seconds.

I am completely drenched as I park my bike at Will's house, walking up his front porch stairs as my shoes squeak. I knock heavily on the door so that he can hear it over the rain, and a few seconds later, Will is standing in front of me with a look of pure confusion on his face.

"Mike, what the hell are you doing out in the rain?" he asks, pulling me firmly inside his house and shutting the door.

"I wanted to see you." I say, my clothes dripping all over his carpet.

"Well I wanted to see you too, but I didn't have a ride. You didn't have to bike all the way here to see me." Will says, his cheeks blushing.

"No, I wanted to. Now are you ready to go?" I ask.

"Go where?" he laughs.

"To play in the rain!" I say, pulling his hand out the front door. He tries to pull away, but it's no use. By the time he escapes my grip, we are already standing out in the rain.

"You're such a child, Mike." he laughs, staring up at the sky and catching rain in his mouth.

I take his hand and spin him around and start to dance with him, spinning each other every five seconds until he buries his head into my shoulder and we sway back and forth to the sound of the rain around us.

"I love this, Mike." he says quietly, almost inaudibly.

"Me too. Now aren't you glad I biked here to see you?" I tease.

"I'm super glad." he says, leaning out. I look at him and admire all the features that I fell in love with a few years ago that just look more mature now. His beautiful hazel eyes that look more green in the sunlight. The way his eyebrows sink and become more relaxed when he's happy, just like they are right now. But my favorite is the way his smile could cheer me up no matter how bad of a mood I might be in.

"Why are you staring?" he asks, embarrassed.

"Because I love you." I whisper, brushing a piece of hair out of his eyes and leaning in, pressing my lips on his. His hands immediately find my face as he pulls me closer, me gripping his waist and pulling his body against mine. It's like everything around us is silent ad our lips move together, water streaming down our faces.

When we finally pull away, I stare down at my feet to hide how red my face must be, but Will knows me too well. He takes my face in his hand and tilts it up to face him again.

"I love you."
