I knock lightly on Will's door as a cold autumn breeze causes me to shiver and shift from one to another. I hear some movement from within the house, and finally, the door opens to reveal Jonathan.

A wave of warm, apple pie smelling air comes out from inside the house as I wrap myself tighter in my arms.

"Oh, hey Mike. Will is in his room still getting ready, but you can probably just go in." Jonathan says.

"Cool, thanks." I say, walking past him and into the house where I see Joyce baking.

"Mike! How are you?" she says, wrapping her arms around me. I wrap my arms around her as well.

"I'm doing good, how about you Ms. Byers?" I ask, leaning away.

"Very well. Will has been talking nonstop about seeing you the entire time you were at your grandparents on vacation." she says, my heart fluttering a little. I smile and turn around before she can see my blushing face.

I walk down the hall and turn to Will's room, the door wide open. He is facing away from me, so I clear my throat to get his attention.

"Mike!" he yells, spinning around and collapsing into my arms. I hug my arms around his waist as he buried his face into my shoulder.

"I missed you so much." he says into my sweater.

"I missed you, too." I say, leaning away. I keep my hands on his waist as I lean in, kissing him softly. The kiss is short, but says everything we need to say.

"You ready?" I ask. He nods eagerly as I take his hand, saying goodbye to the Byers and leading him to my car. I open his door like usual, getting in the drivers seat next to him.

"So do you wanna go to the book store? Maybe afterwards we could get coffee at the diner?" I ask, starting the car.

"That sounds so fun." Will says, squeezing my hand in his.

"I really missed you, Will." I say, pulling out of the driveway, him kissing my cheek quickly.

I drive to me and Will's favorite bookstore a few minutes out of town and park, hopping out of the car and walking down the long path of stores to finally get there.

Will and I walk inside, and of course, he's immediately drawn into the romance section in the back. He flips through the pages of a few books, reading the backs and smiling at the words he sees.

"Why do you like to read those book so much?" I ask, laughing and walking to him.

"I don't know. I guess I kind of always liked reading them, but I never imagined that I would be living in one. You make me feel like I'm a character in these books, and I know that's cheesy, but it's true, Mike." Will says. I can feel a million butterflies in my stomach just from his kind words, and I step back to admire him.

His beat up brown converse. Blue jeans. Dark green sweater. Pale, smooth skin. Beautiful hazel eyes. Perfect lips.

Perfect everything.

"Why are you staring?" he giggles, his cheeks now red.

"Because you're beautiful, Will." I say, kissing his cheek softly. He turns insanely red and doesn't go back to his regular color until we are back in my car with a bag of books each.

He bought some romance, comics, and history books and I bought a few sci-fi and fiction books, even though I don't read much. I usually just buy the books to impress Will since he reads about a book every other day.

"You wanna get coffee?" I ask, pulling out of the parking lot.

"Definitely." Will says. We laugh and talk the whole way there, us both getting a hot chai latte and sitting at the dim lit table in the corner of the cafe.

"I heard that you wouldn't stop talking about me while I was gone." I tease, Will practically spitting out his drink.

"Did my mom say that?!" he groans. I nod lightly as he turns red from embarrassment.

"She came never keep her mouth shut!" he complains. I giggle and watch him try and turn away.

"Do you know how many butterflies I got when she said that, Will?" I ask, completely serious. I watch him become flustered.

"Oh, shut up." he mocks.

"I'm not kidding. I thought about kissing you almost the whole time I was gone." I say, leaning across the table and kissing his soft lips.

"I love you, Will." I say contently.

"I love you so much." he giggled.
