I grab my keys and run out of the house, the july heat hitting me like a ton of bricks. Sweat beads form on my forward as I turn the AC on high and pull out of the driveway, quickly speeding to Will's house.

When I finally pull into the driveway, I see him sitting on the front porch. He's wearing jean shorts and one of my Vans shirts, and I suddenly become super nervous.

This is only me and his second date, and even though we've been friends forever, I still get nervous, especially because we haven't even kissed yet.

He gets up and smiles, opening the passenger door and sitting down next to me.

"Hi." I say, already flustered.

"Hi." he says, buckling his seat belt.

"Do you still wanna get ice cream?" I ask, our eyes locking as I can feel my face heat up.

"Definitely." he says, smiling. He makes me melt.

We listen to music and talk the whole way to the mall where we walk hand in hand to Scoops, ignoring the dirty looks that numerous people give us from where they are shopping.

"My favorite couple!" Robin yells as we walk into the shop. I look over to Will who has turned a little red, just like me, but our hands stay attached.

"Hi Robin." I say, faking an annoyed tone.

"What can I get you guys?" she asks as I notice her wrinkled uniform.

"How about vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles with two spoons?" Will asks, causing my breath to catch in my throat. He's always so bold, which is unlike how he used to be before we started dating.

"Sounds great." I say, Robin grinning back at us. She scoops as a huge bowl filled with ice cream and sprinkles, handing it to us as I pull out my wallet.

"It's on the house." she says.

"Seriously?! Thanks Robin!" Will says cutely, taking the ice cream and finding us a seat.

We gobble down the ice cream quickly, talking and making occasional eye contact that puts butterflies in my stomach.

When we're ready to leave, we drive home quietly, my stomach churning with nerves.

I wanna kiss him so bad.

When we finally get to his house, he undoes his seat belt, but I can't let the moment pass.

"I had such a fun time, Will." I say, taking off my seat belt as well.

"So did I." he says shyly.

"You look so cute in my shirt. Honestly, you make me so nervous that sometimes it's hard to even look at you." I say, rambling on. His face turns bright red and he stares down at his lap.

"Will? Can I kiss you?" I ask, so quietly that it's almost a whisper.

"Of course." he says.

I take his chin in my hand, tilting his face up to mine. I press my lips slowly to his, and when they finally meet, it feels like my whole body is melting. His soft lips move in sync with mine while his hand tangles in my hair.

When we finally pull apart, I set my hand on his leg over the center console.
