As I arrive home I see mom in hysterics. "Mom what happened?" I say hugging her. "Will!" She sobs pointing at the phone, what has been electrocuted. "She heard will on the phone," Johnathon says, sniffling a bit. "Oh my god what did he say?" I say crying. "He just breathed, he was scared." Mom sobs putting her head on my shoulder. "Oh god," I say hugging her and Johnathon close. "Let's get you into bed mom." I say lifting her up.

As she falls asleep I sit there with Johnathon. "Are you okay Johnathon, I should never have left." I say hugging him close as he cries silently on my shoulder, "I'm sorry." I say before we both fall sleep.

I wake up late that morning and I see Johnathon and mom already up. "Mom breakfast is ready." He says as she rushes in. "What no. Be careful of the posters. " she says sitting next to me. "I can't eat." She says. "I just need you to eat mom." Johnathon says. "listen to him mom." I say yawning. "Listen. Listen, the Xerox place opens in, like, 30 minutes." She says getting up and pacing the room." Yeah." Johnathon says taking a bite out of a pancake "And I don't want you to go alone." She says still pacing. "No, I know. I told you, I got it." Johnathon says gathering his posters. "so I'm gonna have Karen take you, 'cause I should be here." She says looking at me. "Your staying with me." "Okay." I say back getting up properly. "We need to make, what, 200, 300 copies? How much is a copy?" "Yeah, okay." Johnathon says trying to calm mom down. "Ten cents? If we... Ten cents" "Mom. Mom. Mom! You can't get like this, okay?" I say grabbing her hand and sitting her down.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She says panicking

That minute hopper walks in. "I've been waiting six hours." She says walking up to him. "I know I know I came as soon as I could." He says sitting down. "Six hours." She repeats. "A little bit of trust here, all right? We've been searching all night." He says taking his hat off. "Did you find anything?" I say sitting up. "Nothing." He replies taking a cigarette out of his pocket. "Flo says you got a phone call." "Yeah." She says. "Storm barbecued that pretty good." He says getting up and inspecting the phone. "The storm?" She replies sounding angry. "What else?" He says cockily. "You're saying that that's not weird?" She says holding the phone up. "No, it's weird." He says. "Can we, like, trace who made the call? Contact the" Johnathon says before he's cut off.
"No, it doesn't work like that. Now, uh, you're sure it was Will? Because Flo said you just heard some breathing." He says having a smoke. "No. It was him. It was Will. And he was scared. And then something" she says almost crying so I go to hug her. "It was probably just a prank call. It was somebody trying to scare you." He says, he's clearly not taking this seriously. "Who would do that?" I say looking angry.
"Well, this thing's been on TV. It brings out all the crazies, you know. False leads, prank calls, uh...." he says before he's cut off. "No, Hopper, it was not a prank. It was him." Mom says pulling away from me. "Joyce." He starts before he's cut off again. "Come on, how about a little trust here? What, you think I'm... I'm making this up?" She says going up in his face. "I'm not saying that you're making it up. All I'm saying is it's an emotional time for you." He says patting her on the shoulder. "And you think I don't know my own son's breathing? Wouldn't you know your own daughter's?" She snaps, we are all silent.

"Mom you can't say that." I say as we wait for hopper to blow up. "You hear from, uh, Lonnie yet?" He says calmly. "No." Johnathon says. "It's been long enough. I'm having him checked out." He says grabbing his hat. "Oh, come on! You're wasting your time." Mom says running out behind him. "Hey, Hopper. Hopper. Let me go." Johnathon says as he gets in his car. " I'm sorry?" He replies starting his engine. "To Lonnie's. You know, if Will's there, it means he ran away. And if he sees the cops, he'll think he's in trouble. He'll... He'll hide. You know, he's good at hiding." Johnathon says trying to open his door. "Yeah? Well cops are good at finding. Okay? Stay here with your mom. She needs you." He says driving off.
