May died a few years ago and Peter and Y/N were sent to an orphanage. Y/N is a shapeshifter and Peter is Spider-Man

Loki's POV.

I was sitting in the living area reading when the mortals came in arguing and yelling. At first, I ignored them but then they got louder. When I was sitting in the room by myself, I was a 3, when they came in it raised to a 5 and once, they got louder it moved to an 8. Nobody noticed I was in the room, so I left to go and calm my thoughts.

While on the walk I see this poor cat begging for food. It looked really malnourished and sad. I approached the cat hoping to take it back to the tower. When I got closer it looked like it was going to run.

"Hey shh. I'm not going to hurt you." I say holding my hand for it.

It slowly came over and sniffed my hand. When it smelled my hand and determined I was safe or trustworthy it came over and brushed itself on my leg. I pet it for a little before I got a call from Stark.

(Normal Loki, Bold Tony)

"What do you want Stark."

"Where are you reindeer games, I need you at the tower."

"I got to and eight when you all came into the room arguing so I went for a walk. I'll head back now if you need me that bad."

"Thank you." Stark says then hangs up.

"Little one do you want to come with me?" I ask the cat.

It looked like it was thinking before it meowed and jumped onto my legs. I pick it up and start walking back to the tower.

"I'll get you some food when we get back." I say to the cat as it climbs onto my shoulder.

It rubbed its head against mine, so I took that as it liked the idea of it. As we were walking the cat was climbing over and onto my head and readjusting to not fall. It didn't take long for the cat to settle back on my shoulder and relax. I really need to name it I thought. I looked at it and thought about a good name.

"Midnight?" I ask when the cat shakes its head I think of another name, "Ash?" This time it nodded its head, "Well it's decided Ash. My name is Loki, I hope we can get along." I say walking into the tower.

'Reindeer games, Boss is requesting you in the common floor right away.' FRIDAY informs me as I step into the elevator.

When FRIDAY gave me the message Ash flinched. "It's alright Ash. That is FRIDAY Stark's AI. She's usually annoying but sometimes she's helpful." I say as FRIDAY brings us up to the common area.

"Finally, your here. What took you so long." Stark complains when I walk out.

"I was quite far when you called. Now what do you need." I say feeling the cat shift onto my arms asking to be held.

"Fury has a mission for all of us and you need to be present. and what's in your arm?" He asks clearly annoyed.

"Whatever let's get the meeting over with. And this is Ash they'll be living with us from now on." I respond sitting down putting Ash in my lap.

"That thing is not staying with us." Ash hisses at him, "Okay they can stay, but they better not make a mess." I nod and the meeting commences.

Peter's POV.

I was getting back from patrol; I hope nobody's hurt. I walk in and see nothing's wrong. Thank goodness, patrol is one of the hardest things to do in this orphanage. I head upstairs to me and Y/N's shared room after checking in on everybody else. Opening the door, I see they're not there. Nothing out of the normal. They are usually only at the orphanage 2 3 times a week. They hate it here; I mean I do too, but I have to keep the other kids safe.

I decide to get my homework done and go to bed.

TIME SKIP (3 days later)

Loki's POV.

I have had Ash with me for 3 days now. They really enjoy it here. Whenever I'm reading, they sit/lay in my lap seeming to read along with me. They also stay near me 24/7, and they hate Stark, it's funny whenever he's in the room their glaring at him and when he gets close, they hiss. They also started putting on some weight and had more energy.

TIME SKIP (week later)

Sitting in the living room reading a book again. This time Ash curled up taking a nap. Stark then came in turning the TV on and starts watching the news. After some time more people join. After an hour the elevator opens and out steps Peter looking a little frantic.

"Hey Kid, you, okay?" Stark asks.

"Umm yea kind of. Umm Y/N hasn't been home in over a week. It's typical for them to be out for days at a time but they always come back, I was wondering if you could help me find them." Peter asks moving over to the couches.

"A WEEK! Okay let's go to the lab and start tracking them." Stark says getting up, "Oh Loki you're coming to."

I sigh, "I'm not waking Ash, you know how they get." I say stroking their head.

"Ash?" Peter asks coming over to me.

"Yes, my cat. Why all the interest?" I ask.

"Can I see them?" Peter asks hopeful.

I move my hand so he can see them. When he gets a good look, he tears up a little and goes to grab them. I stop him before he wakes them.

"What was that for?" He asks.

"You can't wake them. They will claw your face if you do." I say petting Ash again.

"Yea kid. I learned that the hard way. And don't you want to find your twin, we should start now."

"I already found them. Loki can you wake Ash please."

"Fine. Ash wake up I have stuff to do." I say knowing that's the only way to get them off.

Ash wakes up and glares at me slightly hopping off to follow me around. After they move Peter pick them up and looks them straight in the eyes.\

"You have been here the whole time. Living in luxury, you could have at least told me where you were." Peter says looking at Ash. Ash meows wiggling in his grasp.

"Put them down. And what are you talking about?" Ask taking Ash and setting them on the couch.

"Show them." Peter says Ash looks confused, "Come on, I look crazy just show them. I mean they know about me; you can trust them." Peter says looking directly at Ash.

"Peter are you alright that's just a cat?" Stark asks coming over.

"Yes, I'm fine Mr. Stark. Come on Ash Show them." At this Ash jumps onto the ground.

When Ash is on the ground a black smoke develops them. When the smoke disappears, there is a human but no cat.

"Thank you. Now they don't think I'm crazy." Peter says.

"I wish they would. But the look on your face when I refused was hilarious." the human says.

"Peter who is this? and where did Ash go?" I ask standing up.

"This is Y/N, their a shapeshifter. They are Ash, well when they are a cat."

"Hi, thank you for taking me in Mr. Loki, and sorry for deceiving you." Ash or Y/N said.

"It's okay little one." I say going and hugging them, "I enjoyed the company even if it was a mortal."

Y/N hug back. We then talk and Y/N is introduced to everyone. It took a little for everyone to grasp the idea of Y/N also being Ash, but it all worked out. Stark even offered them rooms at the tower. Peter tried to decline but Y/N accepted for the two of them. It was a lot livelier in the tower having two teenagers now.
