Time Travel

Y/N is not Peter's biological sibling but lives with him and May as if they were his sister. May knows but hasn't told Peter about it. Y/N's parents are May's great great grandparents.

FLASHBACK (80 years ago)

Y/N's POV.

I was sitting in my room tinkering with some tech Howard gave me waiting for Bucky to get back. My mom was working on dinner for me, Bucky and her. I hear a knock on the door and rush to open it. 

"I GOT IT!" I yell running down the stairs. 

Opening the door, I see Bucky in his uniforms with a bouquet of flowers. I jump on him hugging him as he walks in. 

"Hello doll." He hugs me back. 

"I'm so glad you got a day off before being deployed again." I say not letting him go. 

"Me to doll." He managed to take his shoes off and headed over our couch. Greeting my mother on the way.

We sit on the couch cuddling and talking before mom calls us for dinner.

We all talk, eating the yummy dinner mom made. After dinner mom left us and headed to her room. 

"Doll, I have something I want to give you. The war isn't getting any better and were starting to lose." He hands me his dog tags, "I want you to have these. So, no matter where I am, I'm always with you." 

I look down at the tags. Tears prick in my eyes. Bucky must have noticed because he hugged me. I sit there in his embrace tears flowing out of my eyes. After a while I pull back and Buck looks down at me. 

"You'll come back though, right?" I ask.

"I'll do my best doll. I hate to leave you, but I have to go." He says giving me a kiss and one final hug. 

"I'll see you when we win doll." 

"See you Bucks." I say watching him leave.

TIME SKIP (1 month later)

Howard has called me over to his labs wanting to talk to me about a couple things. 

I tell mom where I'm going and leave. Getting there in 20 minutes I head in and to Howard's lab. 

"What'd you want to talk about Howard?" 

"This is going to sound crazy, but I made a time travel machine." He shows me a small handheld machine. 

"Have you tested it?" I ask trying to comprehend how he made it.

"Not entirely. I've tested it with objects but not humans. This isn't the only thing I wanted to talk about though." He changes topic. 

"What else did you want to talk about?"

"I got some word from the colonel.... about Bucky..." He trails off. 

"What about Bucky?! Is he okay?" I ask worry filling me. 

"While he was trying get on a train to take down HYDRA... he fell... he was lost. They tried to find him, but they had no luck...." He says not looking at my eyes. 

I pause. Bucky was lost. I grip the tags he gave me, "Want someone to test out the machine?" I ask. 

"Are you sure? It's very dangerous." He says worry now filling him.

"Yea. I mean I have no real reason to still be here." I state. 

"Sure..." He pauses grabbing the machine again, "This knob selects the date, going no earlier than 2000. Then this button to travel. Are you sure you want to do this?"
