Being back in the privacy of our own home is a relief after the last couple of weeks of non stop promotion.
Chris was concerned about how I'd cope even before we started the press tour, but I powered through, just wanting to get back to our little sanctuary.

Now it's time for the next step.

To focus on our family, because it always comes first over everything.

I still don't think my parents will ever fully accept my relationship with Chris, my job, or even their future grandchild, but I keep in touch with them as much as I can. Who knows, maybe one day things will be a bit better all around. Either way we have a lot of love and support from Lisa and the rest of the family here. She's just as excited as we are.

Chris keeps his arms around me while we lie in bed, watching some TV and occasionally dozing off. Dodger's slumped across both our feet. Even he's been protective of me, always keeping his head rested on or against my bump.

"I needed this" I say sleepily, looking at the TV as I have no idea what we're watching, something random on Netflix probably. We steer clear of anything that has us in as we both hate watching ourselves in roles.

"It's been a bit of a minefield" Chris chuckles and I can hear the tiredness in his voice too. "Think it's time we actually got a decent nights sleep before we soon find ourselves not having it for the next eighteen years or so".

I smirk, "Did Ryan tell you that?" Then two have probably been talking about it during the press tour.

"Pretty much" His chest vibrates as he laughs and turns the TV off. "C'mon, you need all the sleep you can get".

"I'm fine". I tell him. "You need to stop worrying"

I know his anxiety will be through the roof when I go into labour.

He keeps me close to him, his hand stroking my bump gently as I feel a couple of kicks. "Let your mom sleep" he scolds bump lightly and keeps his hand still as baby still moves away underneath - probably protesting as a response. "Daddy's orders".

I want to melt.

I snuggle into him more, feeling my eyes grow a little heavier as tiredness is beginning to overcome me a little more. "You need anything before we both pass out?" He asks and look up at him.

"I'm good for now, I can always get up and get something if you do though?"

He looks down and plants a small kiss on my nose, "I got all I need right here. Our baby, Dodge, and my Evermore - like we always say? Just us".

I shift to sit up a little more and kiss him gently with a smile, repeating the two words that we've been abiding by since we got together, because this is how it will always be.

"Just us".
