"This is the place", Evelyn asked, looking at the old dorm, most of the windows were boarded up, a few holes here and there, but the place reminded Evelyn of a Haunted Mansion.
"Isn't it delightful, right, scoot inside now, there you go", Crowley said, both entering the old dormitory, cobwebs and old broken furniture lied scattered around the dorm, "this should keep the elements at bay for the time being, now, I shall take my leave, do try to find some way to busy yourself, and be ready for classes tomorrow, ta",
"Looks like I got my work cut out for me", Evelyn said, Crowley had left, and Evelyn began exploring the dorm, and meeting a few ghosts who were surprised seeing Evelyn there, but were friendly to her, but Evelyn continued exploring till she made it back to the dorm's lounge, Evelyn looked around for wandering eyes, when none were found she soon let out a sigh
"Artist's Creation", Evelyn mumbled, holding out her right hand, blue paint shot out, landing on the holes in the roof and what was gone was now repaired, from her left hand, green thinner shot out, getting rid of the cobwebs and the old, beyond repaired furniture, even moving to repair the bedroom, later stopping herself, looking down at her hands
"I've forgotten how fun that was...", Evelyn muttered before shaking her head and lowering her hands, "no... I made a promise, no more magic... not after what happened", Evelyn was soon brought out of her thoughts when her phone rang, her brothers picture appeared on the screen, she soon answered
"Evie, where are you", Will asked
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you", Evelyn said, "...I'm at mom's old school",
"Night Raven College... how", Will began
"Long story... I'm currently seeing about transferring here to there, but classes start tomorrow for me", Evelyn explained
"Alright, at least we're spared on a worried mom and dad... what dorm are you in", Will asked
"I'm in a separate dorm, had a crazy orientation", Evelyn said
"Although I'd like to hear it, it'll have to wait, curfew's soon", Will stated
"Alright, won't keep you waiting, tell Sarah I said hi", Evelyn said
"Will do, see you soon, sis", Will said
"See you soon", Evelyn said as the line went dead, walking toward the repaired couch and sitting down, a notification popped up on her phone from her game...
"Gloomurai sent a message",
smiling, Evelyn logged in and opened the chat
"Didn't think you were coming here, but welcome anyway, everything going ok",
"Yeah, in an old dorm that reminds me of a Haunted Mansion, but thanks",
"If you need a dorm room, I should have some spare dorm rooms if you need one",
"No, I don't wanna impose, besides, I know you're already busy with other things",
"Ok, if you change your mind, offer still stands",
"Thank you, let me know if you need back-up online, and tell Ortho I said hi",
"Will do, good luck",
Evelyn clicked off her phone, looking out the window, it was raining, Evelyn was thankful about patching up the holes, not long after, a familiar voice snapped her out of her thoughts
"GWAH, it's pouring out there", Grim said
"You again", Evelyn asked in confusion
"As if I wouldn't just sneak back onto campus the second I escaped pryin' eyes", Grim explained, "you all got no idea what I'm capable of, I ain't giving up on going here just cause I got kicked out one measly ol' time, and if you think otherwise, you don't know Grim",
"Why are you determined to go to this school", Evelyn asked
"Isn't it obvious, I was born to do this, I'm a magical prodigy who's got the makin's to become one of the greatest mages who ever lived", Grim stated, excitement in his voice, "so I've been waitin' and waitin' for that black carriage to come for me... and yet... that Dark Mirror's got no eye for talent, that's why I took the initiative and came here myself",
"I see", Evelyn said as three ghosts appeared
"We haven't had visitors in ages", a ghost said
"Oh, I'm just itchin' for new friends", another ghost said
"Hello again", Evelyn greeted
"GHOSTS, GHOOOOOSTS", Grim shouted in fear
"All the people who used ta live here got scared of us and ran away", a ghost explained
"We just want a new ghost to play with, what do you say, buddy", another ghost asked
"I'm a master sorcerer, I ain't afraid of dumb ghosts", Grim stated, shooting blue fire at the ghosts
"Grim, calm down", Evelyn asked, but Grim wouldn't listen and kept attacking the ghosts
"Good evening, in another gesture of my immense kindness, I have brought you dinner", Crowley announced, his eyes soon landing on Grim, "wait, that's the creature we ejected for causing trouble at orientation, what is it doing here",
"Taking care of your ghost problem, that's what, you're welcome, by the way", Grim stated
"What is the meaning of this, Evelyn", Crowley asked
"Well,", Evelyn began
"But you know, on that topic, I do seem to recall that this dorm had a mischievous ghost problem", Crowley said, ignoring Evelyn, "ah, yes... that's why it was abandoned, in fact, the ghosts scared away all the students",
"Grim managed to chase them away, yet I kinda befriended them", Evelyn stated before asking, "Is there any way for Grim to join the school",
"Under no circumstances would I admit anyone to Night Raven College who has not been selected by the Dark Mirror, especially not a monster", Crowley explained, "I will allow Grim to stay, but he will not be allowed to attend",
"I understand", Evelyn said, after awhile, Crowley left, and both Evelyn and Grim went to bed for the night.
