"Ugh... Professor Trein caught me sleeping in class so he gave me extra homework", Ace groaned
"That guy definitely specializes in sleeping magic so he has an excuse to give us more homework", Grim stated
"I wear a little rubber band on my wrist that I pull to stop myself from falling asleep", Deuce said
"You go that far", Ace asked before another thought popped up in his head, "oh yeah, they'll be announcing the passers for the auditions today, right",
"It's almost lunch, but there's still no announcement", Grim stated
"If we didn't get called, then that must mean we didn't pass", Deuce said
"Guys, calm down, they usually announce this stuff at lunchtime", Evelyn reassured as an arrow flew between Evelyn and the boys and landed in the wall a few seconds later, scaring everyone
"Wha, an arrow, A-are they trying to kill us just because we failed", Grim asked
"I don't think so", Evelyn said
"Wait a sec... there's a letter attached to it", Ace said
"What do you say, is that a threat", Deuce asked
"Doubt it", Evelyn said as Ace grabbed the letter and read it out loud...
"Thank you very much for participating in the Vocal and Dance Championship auditions; after a little bit more impartial decisions, we are happy to inform you that Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade have successfully passed the auditions; if possible, please come and visit us at Pomefiore's ballroom after school",
"W-we passed... that means we'll be a part of the selection team, right", Deuce asked
"Nice job, guys", Evelyn congratulated, putting a smile on the boy's faces
"Wha, what about me, I didn't pass even after that brilliant performance", Grim asked
"Hold on, there's a continuation", Ace said, reading it out loud...
"To Ramshackle Dorm's Prefect; we have something to discuss, so please come to Pomefiore's dorm together with your two aforementioned friends",
"In any case, let's all go to Pomefiore after school today", Deuce asked
"My 4000 canned tuna dream is ruined", Grim muttered as the four walked down the hallway, heading toward their next class.
(After School, Pomefiore Dorm)
"I'm pretty sure we'll be receiving special training now that we've been chosen", Deuce said
"Obviously", Ace said
"I'm more frustrated knowing I lost to you both", Grim grumbled
"Who cares if you lost, just keep moving forward and you'll get there", Evelyn explained
"Hey, guys", Kalim called out, he and Jamil approaching the group
"Oh, it's Kalim and Jamil, what are you doing here", Grim asked
"We were chosen for the selection team, you two were as well", Jamil asked
"That's right", Ace said
"You guys must've done great, that's nice", Kalim complimented
"I didn't pass though... I'm so sad...", Grim muttered
"I think even Vil would have qualms about accepting you", Jamil muttered
