Three years later
"Is someone coming to pick you up today?" the prison warden enquired.
"No" Ruby replied scribbling her signature in the prison register.
"Oh! Here you go!" the warden handed Ruby a pair of clothes.
"Thanks".
"Live a good life!" the warden bided her farewell.
After changing into the given set of clothes, Ruby walked out of the building where she lived for the past three years. The weather was a bit gloomy today as if it is representing her mood. She closed her eyes sucking in a deep breathe. When she opened her eyes, a figure stood infront of her.
James!
Their eyes met and both of them looked at each other for a quite long time until Ruby looked away. Ruby pretended like she didn't see him and was about to walk away when James blocked her away. She kept changing her directions while he kept blocking them.
She glared at him annoyed by his actions.
"Can you please move out of the way?" she asked.
"No" he denied.
"What do you want?" she asked in disbelief.
"Don't you know?" he replied blankly.
"James, remember we already broke on the day of my judgment in the court" she recapped.
"It's you who wanted to break up, I never agreed to it" he reminded.
"Why are you doing this?" tears started to blur her vision.
"Why are you making this hard for me? Why did you visit me for the past three years when I kept on telling you not to do it? Why do you keep showing me your face reminding me that I betrayed you? WHY?" Ruby screeched.
"Cause, I still love you!!!" James announced.
"How can you?" Ruby whispered.
"Ruby, I understand that you were blinded by revenge and did a mistake and I can see that you are feeling guilty for it but I am ready to forgive you" James said.
"But the mistake I made is unforgivable" Ruby spoke.
"Ruby, please! It's all in the past now and you already paid for it. Please don't leave me. I can't l-live without y-you!" James voice cracked.
"Do you think I can live without you? Every day without you felt like torture but after everything I did I don't deserve you" she cried falling on her knees.
"It's not your fault. It's your brother who inflicted you that poisonous revenge" James embraced her.
After crying together and comforting each other, they both started walking towards James car.
"Where are we going?" Ruby asked.
"Shopping" James replied.
Ruby face dimmed when she remembered what has happened the last time they went shopping, involuntarily she mumbled a 'sorry'. James grasped the situation.
"Ruby, can you promise me one thing?" James asked.
Ruby looked up at him.
"Promise me that you will never leave me no matter what!".
Ruby's eyes shone with happy tears.
"I promise!" she sobbed hugging James.
