Hey people! Here's another update and I'm so busy making sweets, yet I have squeezed in some time for an update for my lovely people, so enjoy!

SOFIA MARCELLO

I couldn't ignore what the lady had said back at the store as I laid in Adriano's arms, crying silently while heading back to his apartment. I looked at him for answers but he simply ignored me and stared into his phone. I hope it was him. And was his bigger brother that day Coco? That's why everyone was acting weird. He kept spewing into his phone in Italian while I stared at him dumbfoundedly. If he hadn't come today, I don't know what would have happened to me.

We pulled up at his apartment when I was getting up from his lap. But he simply held me by my waist causing me to yelp and wrap my legs around his torso while hitting him playfully as he still ignored me and carried me up the stairs, plopping me down onto the bed. He cut the call and sat opposite me on the couch placing his elbows on his knees and leaning forward. A dark shiver ran up my spine from the look on his face. Full of anger. ''Whom did you ask before leaving the house?'' he asks calmly yet anger was evident in his eyes.

''I-um, no one'', I whispered continuing, ''Samantha a-'', I was suddenly cut off as he flipped the coffee table sending the flowers I had bought for myself flying in the room with pieces of the glass vase scattered on the floor. I whimpered backing away onto the bed.

''You're my fucking responsibility and you can't just run off somewhere without telling anyone! See what happened today?! You could've been all over the internet in a few seconds! It would be easier for Alex to find you!'' he yelled while grabbing onto my wrist painfully strong while tears streamed down my face as I tried removing his grasp. Yet, he was in an angry daze as he yelled at me. It hurt more than what Alex used to say.

''This world is not full of rainbows and candy like you see them!'' I sobbed profusely while pleading him to leave me as his words hit me harder.

''Enzo, y-you're h-hurting me, ah. Please let go'', I whimpered. I closed my eyes in pain and fear when another memory of Alex flashed in my mind.

''You want candies, princess?'' Alex cooed. Any sort of food would satisfy my hunger at this point. I nodded meekly as he smirked standing up only to pull down his pants. ''See, I've got unlimited candy. Go on.'' My eyes widened not knowing what he was talking about. I had just turned sixteen. Suddenly, he forced himself into my mouth while I choked with tears streaming down my face. My throat was hurting bad causing me to accidently graze my teeth on his part as he pulled out yelling and began strangling me while I choked harder on my breath.

ADRIANO CALVETI

I was furious at her little act today. ''This world is not full of rainbows and candy like you see them!'' She sobbed yet I did not show mercy, she needed to learn. Suddenly, she began choking as her eyes went bloodshot and she began thrashing on the bed. She was in a daze as I tapped her face lightly and called her name. She still did not respond while the door was opened revealing Ronan. He came barging in and gave her back blows which was not very helpful since she was not choking on some object but on her own breath possibly due to the trance she was in.

However, she snapped out of her daze since Ronan was in a close proximity with her as he placed his hands on her abdomen and leaned on her back to perform the first aid.

She began thrashing again and hit both of us with her tiny fists before Ronan simply hugged her, rubbing her back. ''It's okay, you're safe. Calm down'', he cooed in her ear while looking angrily at me. Her breathing evened out as she laid her head on his shoulder out of exhaustion.

We sat in a minute of silence confirming if she had actually fallen asleep. Ronan carefully picked her up and walked out of the bedroom to place her on my bed since her room was messed up I had triggered it even more.

I somehow fixed my hard gaze before heading towards my room to see Ronan sitting beside her sleeping form on the bed. He was using facial wipes to clean her tear-covered face before covering her with the duvet. He walked out of the bedroom as a sign that he wanted to talk. I pulled the door a bit knowing Ronan had something in store for me.

He paced around the room before stopping at my appearance. He was three years older than me, five years older than Sofia. He had admired her even more than I used to and I can see it in his eyes again. ''What happened today? And why were both of you over the internet a few hours ago?'' he asked as I had expected.

''The guards told me that she had gone shopping with Samantha, but her outfit was different from when she had left, meaning that Samantha probably had something to do with this'', I spoke up.

''What else happened Adriano?'' He never called me by my first name unless he was serious about something and let me not forget that he had loved spending time with her as much as I did when were younger.

''You know what happened at the store. She knows who I am. And things got escalated because of me, it was my fault. I lost my temper'', I replied lowly.

''I want us to split days with her, since you'd be at work most of the time'', he demanded gruffly and I felt jealous. Why did he have to care about her, but I was surely careless regarding the incident today.

''No, I don't want any other man or even her own father to be near her right now, she's not yet stable'', I said.

''Okay then. But what if we let her decide for herself?'' he spoke. I opened my mouth to protest but nothing reasonable enough came out. I nodded in defeat. It was useless making him back down at this point.

Just then my phone rang with Sofia's dad's name flashing on the screen. He called me over to discuss the contract regarding Samantha. Instead, I told him to come over since Sofia could wake up any moment and look for me. But, I did not want her dad to see her, neither her right now just as I had told Ronan. It was for her own good.

He came over to discuss things in my office while I kept tracing back mentally to my bedroom where Sofia was sleeping. ''I told you that I cannot continue this alliance anymore, Samantha's getting out of hand. She just took one of my cousins without protection to the city today'', I covered up.

''Well, you do know the consequences of terminating this alliance then, don't you?'' he asked. He was a good man and I did not want to hurt him with bringing up Sofia whom he had searched for madly. She was his little precious daughter.

''I know. But, what if I offered you something else instead of letting Samantha live a reckless life with me. I've been straightforward about not liking her.''

''Okay, I'll reconsider things, once I've discussed with Nadine.'' He shook hands before leaving thankfully. Of course, Nadine. Sofia was still asleep. I felt angry at myself for reacting that way with her, but it was for her own safety. But still, I had fucked up.

Making my way upstairs, I blocked Samantha's contact so that she did not disturb Sofia. I promised her dad, Alan, in my mind that I would give him back his daughter before things get out of control. But before that, I need to find Alex and torture him, sending him to the depths of hell.

I was sleeping next to Sofia since the past two nights, helping her whenever she had a nightmare. I slid into the bed placing a pillow in between her arms which she held onto. ''I'm sorry. Ad'', she murmured in her sleep. I laid on my side looking at her hoping I could turn back time to erase the episode where I caused her pain. I smoothed her soft hair out of her face and moving to the other side of the bed, creating space between us so she did not feel uncomfortable.
