SOFIA MARCELLO

It has been two days since I had woken up and I feel so much better. Especially because of Anna who has been with me since last morning. I've opened up a lot more to her, sharing the things that have been haunting me over the past six years. I guess telling her about all those memories, feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. But after lunch, she's been acting weird. Asking me to take a shower during the middle of the day when I already did after lunch, her in my room at the most unexpected times, and the way she spoke, pretty hurriedly.

''You okay?'' I ask her as she bites her lip while fiddling with the ring on her finger.

''Totally. You wanna go out for a walk? Maybe freshen up our minds?'' Her reply makes me look outside. None of the guys are at home today. All three of them had some work to do. Plus, it's chilling outside. Yet I say yes. This is the least I can do for her.

I put on my black ear muffs that Ad brought me yesterday. He really needs some bright colors in his life. Seriously black? I mean it's good but everything in his life is dark. A small feeling inside me says that I might change that one day. I think I like him. Actually, I've always admired him since I was little. Back then, I thought it was because Ronan and he were the only two male friends I had. But now, I think I might actually like him, more than a friend.

As we venture outside, I rub my palms together to warm them up while on the other hand, Anna is looking here and there, almost like she was waiting for someone to come out. I try to make small conversation with her but soon her attention is diverted towards something else. Anna slowly heads towards the gate where the guards are standing. We can't go outside, does she not know? Or maybe they'd allow us since I am with one of the most trusted people - Anna.

As expected, they hold out their hands, blocking us saying that no one is allowed to leave the mansion as of now, at least until Ad is back. I turn around to walk back when I see Anna standing rooted to her position. I tap on her shoulder when she suddenly grabs my wrist, twisting my hand behind my back following a cold metal being pressed to the side of my head.

My breath gets caught in my throat as my eyes sting with tears. My blood runs cold when more guns are pulled out by the guards who now aim for Anna's head. ''I'm sorry, Sofia but I have no choice.'' Confusion etches onto my face from her words. Why is she even doing this?

The blaring of horns snaps everyone's attention to the vehicle pulling up into the driveway as Anna pushes me forward, urging me to climb into the van. Ad's men look helplessly not knowing what to do, when I am being held at gunpoint. And I have no choice but to cooperate, otherwise I'll die.

And right now a little part of me doesn't want to. The door is pulled open from the inside as my eyes widen seeing a bloodied Ad holding onto Ares. His gaze snaps to me and then to Anna who was obviously shocked. Maybe she was expecting someone else. She pulls me back by my hair, pushing the gun deeper into the skin of my head as I cry out in pain. ''I have no choice, Adriano. I have to do this. Let us go, Otherwise she di-''

Her voice lasts only for another moment before she collapses onto the ground when someone hits her in the head. I hurriedly kick away her gun as the guards pick up her body and move towards the mansion. The stench of blood and painful groans make me look back to Adriano who was limping while trying to reach me. ''You okay?'' He's such an idiot. How is he even asking me such a question when he himself is hurt so much?
