I decided to forgive Anna. I couldn't say much in regards to her choices and actions especially when she was helpless. I understand why she did what with me and for whom. Her helplessness was understandable. But, it does not justify the fact that you can put someone else's life on the line to protect someone you treasure. The person you might have wanted to harm indirectly could also have a dream. A dream to live especially after escaping the claws of her predator.

And today I was going to watch a movie outside of this mansion. In a cinema. I had chosen the movie. It had a rather strange name, 'The Notebook'. Adriano hadn't seen it either and the cinema was trying to recreate memories of the movies that had once been a hit. I try clasping the golden necklace around my neck when I sit onto the chair facing the vanity, frustrated. The nightmares have returned. Each night in the last week, I have woken up screaming while Adriano has tended to me. I am so grateful to have him in my life. And with that, I try clasping it again when a knock is heard. ''You can come in!''

Adriano steps inside and I stand up frozen to my position as I take in his appearance. He wasn't wearing his usual suit today. Instead he wore a black dress shirt of which the first two buttons were left opened and he wore black dress pants as well. Surprisingly, he looked both cute and hot at the same time, wearing sneakers. The shirt emphasized his taut body with his tattoos lingering on the expanse of his chest. He wore a small diamond ear piercing. But that wasn't the only thing, his hair wasn't jelled today. It looked like bed hair that made me clench my thighs together. He doesn't seem to notice my lust-filled gaze as he walks over to clasp the necklace together, studying me through the mirror. ''You ready to go out?''

''Yes, are you?'' I ask licking my now dry lips.

''Of course. I came to get you. The movie will start in about forty minutes from now. So we'll need to hurry up a little.'' He says smiling, as his dimples poke out. Is he trying to kill me?

''You look really handsome when you smile'', I mumble without even realizing as a smirk replaces his smile. Heat rises up my neck and cheeks as I look away trying to cover my face with my hair. I grab my sneakers, wearing them as Adriano leans on the door waiting for me. How did he even take out time from his busy schedule?

''Do I, bella?'' (beautiful)

Flashback

A comfortable silence is broken when his deep voice with the thick Italian accent feels so dreamy. ''Do you like stars?'' Who doesn't. They were one of the things that were keeping me sane throughout the gruesome years. They were scattered among the black blanket too, just like me, no one to reach out, to rely on.

''I love them.''

''Then it's perfect for both today and tomorrow.'' His words intrigue me. What's going to be happening tomorrow? Was it his birthday or something? His signature smirk appears on his face as he pulls into the parking lot, turning off the ignition.

''Sofia Marcello, would you like to go out on a date with me?'' The words leaving his perfect mouth leave me speechless. Did I just hear whatever he said correctly?

''W-what? A date?'' The question escaping my mouth stupidly as he stretches over to the backseat, taking out a red rose, before extending it to me.

''It's okay if you don't want to. I know that it can be overwhelming.'' He comments as his face falls a little.

''Of course, I'd l-love to'', I say holding the rose and looking into my lap to avoid his gaze which would melt me in a few seconds. What had happened to the guy I met two months ago? ''But, are you sure about this?''
