Sparring.
My least favorite thing to do.
However, it made quite the entertainment.
We had moved back to the Shiba House, while Logan stayed at our original one. I was considered a member of the team, and they treated me of equal respect.
As I watched Jayden and Kevin spar (in battle armor, a strange thing to do for mere training) Mia, Emily and Mike commented on Kev's technique. Ji argued that both were equally good. I personally thought Jayden was better, though he had years of training while Kevin had only months with focused dedication, so it concluded to an unfair advantage.
"This may be good for training... But what would happen if they were to actually fight?" I wondered aloud.
"Well, we just have to hope it never happens." Ji sighed as Kevin was knocked down.
"I could have done better." Kevin said, and started listing all the ways he could have done better.
"It's only a one point loss, so don't worry about it." Jayden assured him.
"Okay. Let's do it again." Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew Kevin had a look of determination in his eyes.

The gap sensor rang.
"Ashlynn, you know the routine." Jayden sighed, and we ran off.
As the team and I ran, I was glad we were. I needed to cool off. I was angry that Jayden kept restricting me from fighting. I wanted to fight with him, and in case he was in danger, I could help protect them. But this wasn't my fight, and I knew it. Jealousy ran through my veins.
We reached the forest after a long run.
While I hid, disguised as a crow (because god forbid pigeons could not be in this area) I observed the nighlock.
He was tall. He had a silver/navy blue/purple colored face and had a tan colored hood thing around his head. Around his neck was a white collar, and his armor was mostly black with a few hints of red on the belt. He carried a black shield with white, sharp spikes on the border and a black circle in the middle. He carried a leather whip as well.
"I'm Metamot." The nighlock introduced. Was he so over himself that he had to say his name?
"We're going to whip you into shape." Jayden said, and morphed while the others followed his lead.
"Do you really want to tangle with me?" Metamot said. Oh great, now he's egotistical, what's next?
"I'm the baddest of the bad from the Sanzu." He said, I wanted to roll my eyes, but then remembered I was a crow, so I couldn't. Ugh.
"Lets see if you can back up all that talk." Mike challenged.
A robotic animal, that looked slightly like a Belgian tiger, appeared. Oh, now the rangers are in for shit.
The team fought the guy for a while before he aimed the black circle of the shield at them
"Everyone, get down." Jayden ordered. Mike didn't hear him, and Kevin noticed.
Just as the spell was about to hit Mike, Kevin pushed Mike out of the way and got the spell hit on him instead.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. I thought.
Kevin started attacking his team mates. His first targets were Jayden and Mia. Jayden was able to avoid it, but Mia was struck with Kevin's sword. Metamot tried to shoot a spell at Jayden, but there was another kanji symbol that deflected the awful spell.
