Let me just start out with saying this: Valentine's is, and always will be, the cheesiest day of the year for me.

Alright, I get it. So your boyfriend shows up with a box of chocolates, or roses, or something like that.

But honestly, there are 364 other days in the year you can love someone unconditionally. Like, you don't need a holiday just for an excuse to buy a girl something!

This time, Valentine's was an exception.

Maybe because I was deeply in love with a certain power ranger.

Apparently, Valentine's Day is a big thing at the Shiba House. At least for the girls.

The boys did something too, but the girls usually shot back with something up our sleeve.

The boys (including Terry) had a song performance, but I pretty sure only Antonio and Terry were singing. Jayden - bless him - but honestly, the poor chap couldn't sing to save his life.

The girls had two songs prepared.

One was a solo (me, because I'm the only one who suggested it) and one was a group song.

On the day of Valentine's, I didn't see Jayden at all.

We emptied a room and left notes in the boys' bedrooms with their best outfits laid on the bed.

Jayden's best outfit was in plaid - yes, plaid, he has a serious addiction with it - and grey jeans.

We set up the room to a romance theme, practiced, then ate lunch in that room. The boys were off training.

The surprise was ready. 6 o'clock, on the dot.

The room was completely dark, except for a few things: spotlights (which weren't on), and Christmas lights strung up around the room.

There were four seats in the middle, then the stage, which Ji and Logan had helped us make. Antonio managed the spotlights.

A single chair was on the stage, which is where Evelyn sat to play the guitar. There were two of them: One electric and one acoustic.

The boys pushed the door open, and managed to find their way to their seats. Jayden's seat had a button on it, and he pressed it gently.

Evelyn walked up on stage with her guitar.

"Happy Valentines Day." She said, a smile beaming on her face. "But gee, where are your girlfriends?"

"Evelyn..." Kevin started, and I had to stifle a giggle.

"Yes Kevin?" She smiled innocently.

"Where are they? You know where they are." Kevin asked, and Evelyn winked and started to play the first song. It was "Ours" by Taylor Swift.

Evelyn started to sing.

"Elevator buttons and morning air

Strangers' silence makes me wanna take the stairs

If you were here we'd laugh about their vacant stares

But right now, my time is theirs."

That was my cue. From the right up corner of the room, the spotlight turned on me.

"Seems like there's always someone who disapproves

They'll judge it like they know about me and you
