The rangers dashed out again, morphing as they ran. I shot a worried look at Ji, then Evelyn. What was going to happen now?
"Ji?"
"I think it's only moogers, Ashlynn. He's going to be okay." Ji told me, then started preparing lunch.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
A few minutes later, the rangers came back, with Antonio, who had a horrified look on his face.
Antonio sat down on one of the steps to the den, shaking a little as he did so. Evelyn looked at me, then ran over to her twin.
"Tony, talk to me, please!" Evelyn said, trying to get him to stop, hugging him. When she realized it wasn't going to work, she glared at the other rangers and stood up. "Alright, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." She walked towards them slowly, cracking her knuckles. "Which. One. Of. You. Broke. TONY?!" She shouted, getting louder with each word. Jayden raised an eyebrow at me and I shook my head.
"No!" I cried out, holding her hands back so she couldn't hurt them. "Stop!"
She glared at them, then me, then stopped. She sat down next to Tony and tried to nuzzle him to get some type of response.
"Antonio's afraid of fish." Kevin said.
"Fish?" Ji asked. "But Antonio grew up in a fish shop. I mean, he fishes everyday, and what, now he's afraid of fish? You guys are kidding me, right?"
"No, Ji." Jayden shook his head.
"Well, when that nighlock switched our souls with inanimate objects, Antonio did turn into a fish." Kevin said, pacing.
"The neighborhood cat was this close to eating him before he got switched back." Mia suggested. "Now he isn't able to even touch fish."
"Seriously?" Ji asked.
"Uh-huh." Mia replied.
Evelyn shook her head. "I hope the Nighlock didn't break him."
"He doesn't have any broken bones, he's fine!" Kevin protested.
Evelyn shook her head again. "There's another way you can break a person, and that's by their human soul."
"You take the thing that the person loves most, and use it to destroy their personality. So, Antonio loved fish. But being a fish must have instilled some type of fear, maybe even trauma, if he was that close to being eaten, also known as destroyed." I explained. "If you don't get it... Then you've clearly never knew me."
"What do you mean, 'I never knew you?' " Jayden asked, and I shook my head.
"Another story that I hope will never be brought up again." I said grimly.
"It's true. The golden age of Antonio is officially out of hand." Antonio said, sipping on some water.
Kevin's face turned confused. "The golden age of Antonio?" His face changed back to normal. "Alright, look, you didn't get eaten, so pull yourself back together man!"
I turned to Kevin, then back to Mia. "I don't know how you deal with this butt-hole."
"He's right dude. You taught yourself how to be a samurai. You - can beat this." Mike said.
"Anyone who taught themselves how to program the black box can teach themselves how to get over their fears." Emily grinned.
"You don't get it!" Antonio burst out. "I almost got eaten. By a CAT!"
"Calm down." Mia went over to where Antonio was and sat in front of him. "It's okay."
Kevin turned to Jayden. "It's not okay!" He angrily whispered. "He's officially lost it!"
