Fighting to Love (Power Rangers Samurai)

Meeting them

Five days later, here I was, moving into a new house with Logan. Apparently the Prof wanted us to act like a daughter and father more than we had expected.

After moving in on an early Monday morning(5:00 AM!) I was allowed to take a walk in the park and watch the sunrise by myself.

I was studying a map of the park when a guy wearing a blue jacket came up to me. A jogger.

"Hey." He panted. "You came here to watch the sunrise?"

"I suppose so." He took a look at my face and said,"You're new to Paranorma, aren't you?"

"Fairly." I said. "I'm Stella." I held out my hand, and he shook it.

"Kevin." He releases his hand.

"Are you okay? You're panting as if you were a dog on a 101 degree day." I asked.

"Yeah, just need to catch my breath." He smiled.

"Did you bring water?"

"No... I never do."

"You look tired too..."

"I know." He said quickly. "So, have you heard of The Power Rangers yet? All newcomers know about us-I mean them."

"Oh, so that's the rainbow people's name? Huh, I can say I've seen one of their battles. You guys never leave a clean street." I said with a glint in my eye.

"You- You know?"

"Know what? All I know is that Paranorma never cleans up after the battles." I feigned innocence.

"Okay." He sighed in relief. And from that moment I knew he was the blue ranger.

I'd like to say that I lied to Logan and told him that I met a cute guy in the park. Unfortunately, he got Jean on the phone and told her to search my memory. Since she couldn't do it(Because she's so far away) I had to tell him after they hung up.

"I found out who the blue ranger is." I blurted out. "Kevin... I met him earlier in the park. And he's not my type." Logan raised his eyebrows.

"Good, we'll need to meet them..."

"You mean, I'll need to meet them. They're my mission. You have to hunt down Sabretooth." I corrected him.

He sighed. "Look, why don't you go to the mall and get some clothes?" He asked finally. "Your closet is nearly empty." He hands me a hundred dollars.

"Thank you Logan!" I hugged him quickly then ran off. I heard him chuckle in the distance.

At the mall, I basically just walked around and did some browsing-nothing special.

I saw Kevin and his friends talking and I didn't want to bother them so I casually walked past them.

Until Kevin decided to say,"Hey! Stella, right?"

I stopped and turned around. "Um, yeah. Hi Kevin."

"Hey Kev! Who's your friend?" The guy in green said. The guy in red... His face had softened and he gave me a tiny smile, an attemptive flirty smile.

"Oh, I'm Stella Martinez. I'm new in town." I said, waving my hand. I stuck my hands back into my pockets.

"I met her while I was running." Kevin said.

"You were panting like a dog outside on a hundred and one degree day, Kevin." I said.

"No I wasn't!"

"Shushie, you were." I said, with a grin.

"The matter is closed." He replied with a half grin.

"Fiiiine."

We stood in awkward silence until my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Ash, where are you? It's 5. You left at 2."

"At the mall with Kevin and his friends. Why?"

"Sabretooth is nearing the mall. I'm on my way."

"But I'm sure... I'm sure the Power rangers can defeat him." I said.

"The Power Rangers? Ash, Sabretooth is my mission and they're going to get hurt. Pluse another nighlok is coming with sabretooth, and that's never any good."

"Where do I go?"

"The entrance to the mall." Logan said, then hung up.

I put my phone away.

"I hate to do this but I got to go."

Kevin's phone beeped. "So do we."

"See you." I said, then took off running to the mall entrance.

Right there, plain as day, was a waiting Sabretooth. Waiting for Wolverine.

He saw me and his eyes turned to pure hatred.

"Oh no." I whispered.

"Stella are you okay?"

"Where's the nearest exit besides this one out of this mall?" I asked quietly.

"Over there, but-" Kevin said.

"Thanks, got to go, bye!" I yelled and started running. They ran outside to the park to fight their Nighlok.

I speed dialed Logan. "DAD WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" I yelled.

"Sabretooth found me!"

"Okay, you need to use your powers..."

"It hasn't been two weeks! My powers need to come back before I can fight!" I yelled.

"Oh no... Run home immediately, I'll take care of him!" Logan hung up and I started running even faster.

"HEY! STELLA!" I heard Logan's voice and I turned and started running in the direction I came from.

Distract him, Logan mouthed.

"YO! BIG GUY!" I yelled as loud as I could. Sabretooth turned to me and started charging.

"Look, there's something I gotta tell you." I said as he was cornering me into a wall.

His face turned to confusion. "I think a little heat is exactly what we need."

I snapped my fingers and adrenaline rushed through me. The whole place lit on fire. Since no one is in here(Everyone had run out) the place burned easily, and I rushed out with Logan on my heels. As I looked back into the flames, I had no idea how Sabretooth would survive. All I knew was that it wasn't the last I would see of him.
