A FEW DAYS LATER

"Sierra!" Aly squealed rushing out of her room.

"Down here!" Sierra shouted back.

Aly made her way downstairs, finding her sister in the kitchen, making lunch.

"I got a job!" Aly smiled.

"Really?" Sierra's face lit up.

Aly nodded excitedly. Luke had connected her with someone who worked in music PR, and they knew people who were looking for marketing managers at fashion companies. She had interviewed with Set Active, an athleisure brand, and just got off a phone call with them where they offered her the job.

"Which one?" Sierra asked with a smile.

"This active wear brand called Set Active, I'll be doing basically was I was doing at Rue 21," Aly smiled, picking up one of the cheery tomato's Sierra was cutting and popping it in her mouth.

Sierra slapped her sister's hand away, continuing what she was doing,"I'm happy for you! When do you start?"

"Next week," Aly walked around the counter to sit down in front of her sister, "Can I help?"

"Yeah, here you do this," Sierra handed her a bright red bell pepper, a knife and a cutting board.

"Spring rolls?" Aly questioned, finally noticing the array of vegetables.

"Yeah, trying to get rid of these veggies before they go bad," Sierra nodded.

"Yum," Aly smiled.

A little bit later Aly, Luke and Sierra sat around on the couch, the TV playing in front of them.

"Aly?" Sierra hummed.

Aly turned to look at her right as she took the last bite of her spring roll, "Hm?"

"Uhm we're gonna go on this double date tonight and there's this guy I know, who I think you should meet, at the date tonight," Sierra explained, cautiously. Luke sunk further back into the couch, trying to avoid the conversation.

Aly choked on her food, "Uh?" She swallowed the rest of her food, "Are you setting me up?"

"It's just one date, Aly," Sierra countered.

"Uhm..." Aly had no words.

"It's this guy I met at a writing session the other day, his name's Christian," Sierra started to explained.

Aly scrunched her face at her sister.

"He's a sweet guy, Aly! I promise"

"I'm not in the dating headspace," she lied, thinking about Calum.

"Maybe he'll change your mind?" Sierra smiled.

"Whatever," Aly stood up from where she had been sitting, taking her plate to the sink.

"Be ready by six!" Sierra called after her.
