A FEW WEEKS WATER
Aly stood next to the computer, her laptop balanced in her hands, the sounds of camera clicks off to her left. She watched the photos come through, comparing them to her list of 'needed photos'.
"Hey, Becca?" Aly looked over at the current posing model.
Becca stood up straight and the photographer stopped taking photos.
"Can you try," Aly made her way over to her, setting her laptop on the floor, she turned to face away from the camera, "Pull the crewneck off as if you're gonna take it off," she did the motion with her own shirt, not caring her sports bra was showing, "Elongate yourself, so we can get a close up of the back."
"Yeah," Becca nodded with a smile. Aly let her shirt fall back down her body as she turned to walk back off the set, picking up her computer to watch again.
They went through three more looks, finally starting to wrap up. Aly stood looking through photos, triple checking that they had all the images they needed.
"Hey, you're Aly right?"
Aly turned to the voice, "Yeah," she smiled at the blonde, "Penny, right? Beccas's agent?"
"Yes," Penny nodded, "Thank you for having us by the way!"
"Of course! We love Becca," Aly smiled.
"I was just coming over to ask, have you have ever tired modeling? The way you directed her today, you really know what you're doing," Penny spoke confidently. Aly was taken off guard by her comments.
"I work in LA and New York, so lots of opportunity for work, if your interested," she reached into the big black black hanging off her shoulder, handing Aly a small white piece of paper, "Here's my card, I'm picking girls for a shoot in New York in a few weeks. I think you'd be perfect for it. Think about it and let me know in a few days."
"Uhm," Aly looked at the card in her hands, "I will, thank you," she smiled at Penny.
"Thank you again for having us today," Penny smiled as they shook hands.
"Of course! Have good day," Aly smiled as Penny started to walk away.
Aly packed up her things and headed back to the office. She had a hard time focusing, nonstop thinking about Penny's offer.
When she got home from work no one was home so she headed straight upstairs to change and wash the make up from her face before she went downstairs to make dinner.
She wanted to FaceTime Calum while she waited for the water to boil, but he was at the studio and she didn't want to bug him. She felt like she hadn't seen him in days, they were getting ready for the first single release of the new album, while also working on the finishing touches of the album.
Aly made her pasta and side salad, and sat on the couch to eat. Petunia curled under her feet on the floor. She didn't put anything on the TV, she just sat and scrolled on her phone, reading articles, checking her socials, and scrolling on tiktok for hours, trying to avoid her thoughts.
Aly now laid on the couch, her dirty dishes still waiting to be washed. Petunia had her pinned to the couch when her phone started ringing, startling the white dog.
