TWO DAYS LATER

Aly spent dirty waking moment trying to come up with the best way to end things with Christian. Everything she thought to say seemed wrong and hurtful, there was no easy way to break up with someone, especially when they were such a sweet person.

"I don't know if I can do it," Aly paced her room, her phone to her ear.

"You'll be okay," Ashton responded.

"I don't want to hurt him," she sighed.

"Well that's kind of impossible," Ashton hummed.

"Gee, thanks," Aly rolled her eyes, taking a seat on the end of her bed.

"I'm sorry but it's true! You're breaking up with him for another guy who you were still kind of secretly seeing when you first went out!"

"Okay when you say it like that you made me sound like a really shitty person," Aly groaned.

"Sorry"

"Oh whatever, if I don't just go do this I never will," Aly pushed herself off her bed.

"Call me if you need anything," Ashton offered.

"Thanks, I'll see you later," Aly said before the two said goodbye and hung up. She slipped on her shoes and pulled her hair back with a black claw clip before she grabbed her purse and headed downstairs.

She had told Sierra she needed her car for a work lunch a day ago, but it turned into a five minute argument about Sierra also needing the car, which Luke walked in on and just handed Aly his keys.

Aly was making her way to the car when a sparklingly black car pulled into the driveway. She smiled to herself recognizing the curly haired boy in the drivers seat. She watched him pull up
beside her and get out of his car. He stood with the door still open, but facing her, his hands on top of the car.

"Are you?" Calum asked not needing to explain more.

"They think it's a work thing," Aly gestured towards the house as she leaned against the side of Luke's car, "Also I really need to get my own car again."

"We can solve that issue later, do you want me to come?" Calum offered not caring that he had plans with Luke.

"Yeah let me just show up to the guy's house I'm breaking up with, with the guy I'm leaving him for, even though that's still a secret. Sounds like it'll
go smoothly," Aly said sarcastically.

"I'm gonna be honest," Aly pushed her hair away from her face, "I feel like a really shitty person right now."

"You're not," Calum smiled at her as he slowly shut his car door.

"I think I am."

"I promise you're not," he made his way around the car, "Do they have any cameras out here?" He stood between the two cars, closest to the trunks, keeping his distance.

"I don't think so," the corners of her lips slowly turned up.

Calum took only a couple long strides towards her.
