Hours later, after hours of the three of them taking turns playing songs on the piano, all singing together, dancing  and laughing.

Aly was finally making her way into her bed room. She picked up her phone from where she had left it on the bed after she changed hours earlier.

A few texts from friends and one final one from Calum. She couldn't help but roll her eyes reading his name but she clicked the message anyway.

He had sent her something on instagram, she furrowed her brows waiting for it to load.

calumhood : i didn't know you could sing

Aly clicked on the video, an instagram story from her sister's account popped up. Her jaw dropped to the ground, "I'm gonna kill her."

She watched the video again, her eyes shut as she sang and played piano, the angle was from behind, a black and white filter on it. Sierra had captioned it with 'little sis <3' in tiny text in the bottom corner.

Aly finally replied after over analyzing the video for ten minutes.

aly.j.deaton : there's a lot you don't know about me mr.hood

She started to scroll through instagram, laying in bed. A few minutes later his name popped up at the top of her screen.

calumhood : mr. hood?

aly.j.deaton : idk just sounded good

calumhood : dinner tomorrow?

Aly let out a deep sigh. She wanted to. She really did. But it felt like there were more negatives than positives in this situation.

aly.j.deaton : can't, plans with sierra

She left it at that. A lie. She couldn't start thing up with him again, it would be to complicated.

She tossed her phone aside forcing herself off the mattress to get ready for bed.

THE NEXT DAY

It was almost two pm, Aly had spent most of the day in bed, reading, hoping and waiting for a call or text with a job offer.

She was making her way downstairs, black fluffy slippers on her feet as she sauntered into the kitchen, the TV echoing from the living room.

"Hey! People are coming over in a little bit," Sierra sat up on the couching looking at her sister, "We're gonna hang out by the pool if you wanna join?"

"Sure," Aly shrugged, staring into the fridge, finally reaching in for the other half of a sandwich from a day ago before retreating back her room.

Sierra raised a brow at her sister before getting off the couch and following the younger girl.

"AJ!"

Aly stopped half up the stairs turning to see her sister standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"Are you okay? Like for real?"
