The Only Person Good Enough...

"Hey, Loverboy. You sure you're not gonna ask Dazai out instead?" Yosano mused, poking Chuuya's shoulder. "Yes, I'm sure. I'm going out with Tachihara, why would you even think I'd want to go with that mummy looking asshole?" He glares at Yosano but she only responds with silence, and an unimpressed glare.

"Literally everyone knows you have a crush on—"

"Hello, my fellow classmates!!" An agitating, grating voice booms throughout the room, making Chuuya groan. "Now, what is this I hear about Chuuya having a crush on someone~?" Dazai leans over to the both of them, putting his head on his hands as his shoulders support his upper body on the table.

"I do not have a fucking crush on anyone. But... I guess I do like Tachihara." The corner of Dazai's lips twitch a little, almost unnoticeable. "Chuu-kun, that's the definition of a crush! Or did your horrible hat devour your brain?" He flicks the hat's front, making Chuuya growl. Yosano sighs, "Shut up, you fucker. I thought you were supposed to be a genius, a hat that I wear isn't going to somehow eat my fucking brain."

Dazai's face lights up, "Chuuya thinks I'm a genius?" Yosano fake-coughs, "Okay idiots, we get it, you both are so in hate. Anyway, Chuuya's gonna ask Tachi out for Prom, what about you 'Zai?" She smirks, fingers intertwining.

"Mm, I'm just gonna ask the pretty new student out." He shrugs. "I think Sasaki's their name...?"

"What the fuck is wrong with you? You don't even know their name?" Dazai leans over to Chuuya, inches away from his face and he puts his finger on his lip. "Chuu-ya! Don't be like that to your lovely Student Council President's secretary~ So disrespectful!" Yosano just sighs, looking at the scene helplessly.

"You're disrespectful! You're going to lead on a person that you don't even know the name of!" He stands up, pushing his chair back with the back of his leg and jabs his finger into Dazai's chest. The other only frowns though, "I'm not actually gonna ask them out. It was a joke, plus, everyone in this school has the hots for me!" Yosano shoots him a glare and he only smiles sheepishly.

She hums in acceptance, "Asshole. Nobody has the hots for you except poor fools who have fallen for your very fake, and stupid 'charms'." Chuuya glares into his soul.

"Ah Chuuya~ The way you look at me makes so swoo~n!"

"Oh shut the fuck up. Yosano," He huffs, "When is the next meeting being held?" Yosano simply shrugs, "Aren't you supposed to be asking him that? He is Ranpo's Secretary, he schedules meetings."

"Who? I don't know a piece of shit that's Ranpo's sec, doesn't ring a bell." Dazai pouts, wrapping his arms around Chuuya's neck from behind and placing his head on top of the other.

"How mean, Chuuya. How could you ever forget such a charming and handsome face? Simply not possible, my dear." Chuuya sputters in disbelief at the nickname, choosing to elbow Dazai in the stomach instead, hard.

"Fuck you, assho—" "Chuuya-san!" He suddenly stops and looks at the door, where Tachihara is standing. "Oh, Tachi." He walks over to the other, smiling — Acting so differently from earlier where he was gritting his teeth and had a glare that could kill.

"Sorry but I can't come with you to Prom. Uh, I'm going with Tanizaki. Yeah... Sorry, I don't blame you if you're angry at me—" Chuuya just smiles at him, a little strained but it's a smile nonetheless.

"It's okay, Tachi. Go get him, tiger." He gives the other a thumbs-up and a winning grin, making Tachihara blush. "Thank you so much Chuuya-san! You're the bestest friend ever!" He runs off, waving his hands goodbye.

"You don't look affected at all." Ranpo snorts, waving his lolipop in the air in Chuuya's direction.

"Ah, Mister President himself. When's the next meeting gonna be held?" Dazai and Ranpo look at eachother for a good three seconds, like they're talking to eachother. Dazai's smile becomes more strained, his eyebrows furrowing like Ranpo had just told him 'I know your secret!' in eye language.
