Epiphany, Posthumous

"Nakahara Chuuya is dead." Ango repeats, his words laced with his desperation. Desperate to convince that Dazai has lost his leash over his dog... It was simply baffling, he would never. Afterall, how could a dog harboring the God of Destruction die such a simple death?

There have been many times that he was to be killed by others, but they were always overpowered by his gravity in the end. How could this be any different?

It was laughable, seeing Ango's expression and visible distress over something so little.

"Ango, do you hear yourself? Of course he's not dead. He's simply too small to find, and too stubborn to be found." He interrupts his report with his brows furrowed, and rightfully so.

Foolishness, stupidity, idiotic— he can go on and on with more words to detail how absurd Ango's words are. "We've been searching for weeks Dazai. Five weeks." He looks into Dazai's eyes with pity, but shouldn't it be the other way around? He truly pities those who believe Dazai wouldn't be able to find the dog he's known for the most important parts of his life.

"Well then, that just speaks for the incompotence of your team." He doesn't keep tabs on Chuuya's daily life, not anymore at least. But he would take up any information to prepare a prank or organize an all out attack that'd scare the god out of Chuuya, especially now.

A cold chill creeps up on his spine and the rest of his body, the four walls, the ceiling and the floor suddenly resemble a ravenous creature devouring the souls of everyone apart of the meeting, a black hole that engulfs even the brightest light. And because everything is becoming suffocating, his fingers start to ache, unable to be moved or flexed. Perhaps it's because his blood is rushing up to his head to help concoct a master plan to seize his stubborn dog once and for all.

A mere room filled up with water couldn't kill his pet, so Arahabaki got annoyed at people trying to hurt his vessel, resulting in Corruption tearing the prison apart inside-out. Perhaps Chuuya just flew away and had gone into hiding back at Yokohoma, because despite his love for France, his heart resides inside Yokohoma because it lives in Dazai's hands.

Dostoevsky and Nikolai were succesfully beaten, their bodies found missing some limbs.

There's nothing else to worry about, so why was Chuuya trying to become a stray once again?

No, maybe it's because his tiny self is buried under the debris and he will eventually be found asleep, waiting to be awakened with the proper way to wake up Snow White.

A small amount of three months pass, and he spends those three months searching all over for that tiny sluggish-chibi-dog.

Others have helped with his expedition.

Kunikida was astounded by his perseverence, especially when he'd work way overtime to compensate for his time spent searching. Atsushi had started to cry after a few days of being with him— He doesn't blame the other, looking for Chuuya is a thankless and hard job. He would probably cry too, if his resolve was weaker and feebler— Yosano had just given him medicine and vitamins to inject himself with to skip eating, Ranpo stopped after just a day, saying "I have no words to say to you Dazai."

Surprisingly enough, Tanizaki was the one who had worked with him the longest, searching all over the area repeatedly in uninterrupted silence for weeks on end. "I don't blame you, Dazai. I would do the exact same with Naomi, going through grief is incredibly hard."
