But when every version of him and his partner in every universe have no happy ending, they'll both realize it's pointless. When they realize it's pointless, it will already be too late because none of those universes were ever about them, none of them were ever made so they could have a happy ending.

He will always be by Dazai's side, watching solemnly with a tight-lipped frown as his other half chases after an outcome that will never be made. He will be quiet while he suffers, he will be silent while he is never viewed as first choice, he will be silent because he's the scape goat.

Chuuya will always stick by his side, though. He will gladly walk through any hell for his partner, even if the other won't do the same for him.

That's what partners are for, afterall.

Yes, I've been gone for eons and this is what you will recieve as an apology— Angst and a tragic fate for Chuuya. I could do so much better than Dazai to be honest, smh. Of course, this fic is not meant to be saying 'Dazai is horrible and deserves to be castrated for hurting baby Chuuya!'

It's meant to show how painful Chuuya and Dazai's partnership is because they will never, ever be happy. Neither of them.

Dazai will never be with Oda, and Chuuya have a life with Dazai due to the sole fact he's suicidal, self-destructive and wants to be with Oda. (not romantically, gross)
