Demi and I had just arrived at the performance centre centre, we had pretty much sat in bed all day watching movies, except from training, of course. Demi had a match against Dakota Kai tonight and I had my championship match against Kairi Sane.
I knew that if I got this championship back is be the first ever two time NXT womens champion. This would be such a great achievement for me to do, it would really give me a great reputation. I wasn't gonna lie, I was nervous, Kairi was great when in offence, but I still wanted that title back. I had just gotten out of hair and makeup ans I already my gear on, so I sat in the gorilla waiting for demi to join me

After A few minutes I felt two arms wrap around my shoulders behind the chair I sat on. "You ready?" The Aussie accent of my girlfriend said as she rested her chin on my head. I looked up at her and she kissed my softly before sitting down next to me "Yeah, a little nervous but I'll have fun anyway" she sighed "Don't doubt yourself. I was here before you and you've already been a champion, you got this!" She pulled me closer to her and kissed my forehead, her words of reassurance made me feel more confident about my match, it was one of the first matches so I'd be finished before demi.
"Kairi, serenity we're ready for you" I took a deep breath before walking to the wings, I could hear demi wishing me a good luck right before my entrance. I stared down Kairi as she played out her entrance, my sight never broke as I was announced as challenger and Kairi as champion. The bell rung and I sprung into offence, there was no point in battling for dominance, I won that war a long time ago. I drove my knees into her back as a codebreaker and immediately pulled her into the viper lock, much to my disappointment she powered out of my submission and took her place on offence.
Next thing I knew she had twisted my arm back and was now curling it around the turnbuckle, she only had 4 seconds to hold it but those 4 seconds were enough to cause quite a but of damage to my arm. Kairi knowing this she dragged me to the centre of the ring and locked my already injured arm in an armbar, I was able to counter by not panicking and slowly shifting both our body weight so that she foeund herself in pinfall, which forced her to break the hold on my arm. I was in a lot of pain, the crowd was cheering and booing, the commentary table wouldn't stop talking and Kairi wouldn't give up.
Pinfall attempt after pinfall attempt only ended.with me back in a submission lock, this time being a California clutch, my consciousness was fading away from me, and so was my title. I couldn't let that happen, the red kept on asking if I was giving up to which I continually responded with the same answer, no. I powered out by gaining enough momentum to roll back and secure her shoulders to the canvas. Kick out, she got her shoulder up right before three which meant that this match wasn't quite over, I lifted her into the top turnbuckle ready for a high risk move, a superplex, I had to move quickly so she wouldn't overpower me, much to my surprise, she failed to counter, I sent us both to the canvas and although it hurt me, it affected her a lot more. I pinned her as quick as I could "1! 2! 3!" I heard the ref count, but I didn't believe it "HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND THE FIRST EVER 2 TIME NXT WOMENS CHAMPION SERENITY!!" I listens to the announcer as the ref helped me to my feet, she pulled my arm into the air and handed me my title. I felt sick, I couldn't believe it, it didn't seem real, I had set a standard that no one else could do, I fucking did it.
My heart pounded out of my chest, I was so excited and stupidly let my guard down. My celebration was cut short be Shayna's boot crashing into my face. I fell to the floor and that's when she trapped my arm in one of her signature moves.

She jumped up and slammed her foot down on my arm, it felt like my arm had been broken. "That title should be mine!" Was all she said before leaving the crowd booing and me writhing and screaming in pain. I couldn't shift the pain away but I eventually stopped writhing and managed to pull myself up, I tried not to move my arm as i held my title in the air. "Shayna I earned this title fairly, and if you want it..." I looked down at my title "come fucking get it! Right now! Get your ass back out her or shut up and move on!" I waited for a few moments for her and she never showed. I laughed to myself, she can sit here and injure my arm but won't come out and steal my title. That's because she knew she couldn't do it when I'm ready and powered up. I scooted and left the ring just as Dakota Kai made her way out to the stage, I walked past her, title on my shoulder and watched as she looked me up and down.
I made my way to the infirmary to have my arm looked at, and I got news that I didn't really wanna hear. "So your arm was dislocated and while you were able to knock it back into place I'm going to have you in a bandage and brace just until your mobility is back, then I recommend wearing athletic tape just too keep your arm stable. It's really just for your safety, you should still be able to fight in the ring just try not to hurt your arm anymore." I understood where she was coming from "Okay, as long as I can still fight" she laughed at my persistance, I was fitted into a brace and then sent on my way to get changed out of my gear. I was able to watch demi finish her match and then, Dakota did something that made my heart drop...
