I continued to dance with her for a little while before curiosity got the better of me and I had to ask her. "why are you nervous?" she looked down at me and just smiled "you'll see, soon enough" at this point she was amazing at keeping this surprise from me until the right time came, I wasn't getting anything from her, but there was a massive amount of people here; and whatever the surprise was, it must've been important, because Demi invited Luke of all people. " can I talk to syd, I promise I just wanna talk" "yeah, we've heard that one before" I said, turning to face him. "come on- please" he said and after momentary hesitation, I took hold of his hand and slowly danced away from Demi. "I'm guessing, you're both still pissed off at me, but honestly, I seriously just wanna tell you that I'm sorry for what I've done to you, and Demi. I've realised that not everyone is gonna fall for me and I'm sorry that I was clouded by my ego. You two deserve each other and I'll stay out of your way if you want" He said, swaying with me in a rhythmic dance as a song played. "I don't wanna shut you out of my life completely, but I want some distance" I said to him, turning away from him and linking hands with the first person I saw, which was Gionna.
"So do you know what the surprise is?" I asked hoping to get something out of her "of course I do! Everyone does- and before you ask I'm not saying anything it's better for you to wait for the midnight hour" midnight "why so late?" "Think of it as your Cinderella story" she said smiling at me before walking me over to Demi, who pulled me closer and began to lead me in a dance again. "So what did predator charming want this time?" She asked, referring to Luke causing me to laugh a little "nothing actually, he apologised and said that, and I quote 'we deserve each other'" I replied smiling a little. "Well no shit we deserve eachother!" She said a little louder than before to emphasise her point. "And you're planning to surprise me at midnight." "If everything goes to plan then yeah" "and whatever this plan is; my mom didn't want to be a part of it?" I said, she just smiled at me "how kind of her" I chuckled, leaning my head into Demi's chest.
We continued to dance talk, east and enjoy the music until the clock read five minutes to midnight. Demi pulled me back over to the dance floor and tried to distract me from Trav jumping onto a stage with a few other people who each pulled out an instrument "dem what are they-" "just trust me" she replied with a smile. "Hello? Can you hear me?" Trav said into a microphone to which a few people responded with a shout of "yeah" "okay, so First and foremost I'd just like to say that Demi you did amazing work with this surprise and Sydney, just trust the process" he said before nodding at the other people to start playing.
As soon as trav began to sing I knew what was happening, but what I didn't expect was for demi to grab a mic and join in on the chorus, they both stepped down from the stage and began to walk around me as they sang and demi began to dance with me. I was pretty confused about the entire thing but as the song came to a close everyone stopped playing and trav stopped singing but Demi continued to say the final line "is it the look in your eyes...or is it this dancing juice, who cares baby" She got town on one knee and stopped singing "I know, I wanna marry you. Do you want to marry me too?" she pulled out a gorgeous ring, placed in a velvet ring box and now all eyes were on me.

every single person was looking at me, awaiting my answer and I was just sat there, staring at her. I was in shock, this was the last thing I was expecting and now I was under the eyes of all my friends and family. "you're an idiot, you know that right? I love you. Of course I wanna marry you!" An eruption of cheers and applause surrounded the room as Demi placed the ring on my hand and brought me in for a soft kiss. For a moment the embrace made it feel like we were the only two in the room, all of the noise was drowned out by the feeling of love and excitement between us. Reluctantly, she pulled away when trav broke us up. "You guys, really had me surprised, I'm shocked honestly" I laughed looking around the room before turning back to Demi "and you, you, you, you, you, you. this is what you were so nervous about? Me saying no?" "Actually, I was nervous about singing in front of all of these people, I am not a singer" I gasped overdramatically and slapped her playfully, she just brought me back into a hug as the clock struck Midnight.

we stayed at the party for about another hour but I decided to go home when my feet began to hurt. I got home before Demi and immediately took my mask and shoes off. I left the mask on the kitchen counter and took over to the shoe rack which sat next to the front door before heading over to the bedroom. My dress was corseted at the back so all I needed to do was pull on a string for it to fall down my arms. While I was taking my dress off I heard Demi walk through the front door; she walked straight into the bedroom and when she saw that I was undressing myself she walked straight over to me and pulled my dress of completely. Her lips peppered kisses on my shoulders and I could feel her smiling against my skin. "what are you smiling at?" I asked "you're mine, all mine..." She whispered spinning me around and pushing me onto the bed, she observed my almost completely naked body, smirking as she climbed on top of me...
