first championship match

I hadn't had an official title match since wrestlemania, so when Liv Morgan challenged me; I couldn't refuse. I also wanted to stir the pot a little bit, Liv had recently been betrayed by Ruby Riott, so I had asked for those two to face each other as a qualification match for my title. To my surprise it ended in a double pin; both women pinning their opponent, so, to keep it fair, we would have a triple threat match. Which made my odds of winning smaller because I didn't have to be pinned or submitted to lose my title, luckily for me, I was still quite fresh in the ring and, so far I was pretty dominant as a champion. Since my re-debut as phoenix I hadn't been making my own gear, but that was because I didn't feel the need to; so many people were offering to make it so that I didn't have to worry and I took up that offer. And although my name was now phoenix in the ring I didn't want to be subjected to a set colour pallet, yes I would probably be wear a lot of orange now but I didn't want to feel like it was compulsory. My gear for tonight was really pretty and I really liked it, I was in hair and makeup getting ready for my match and already had my gear on.

I spoke with Liv while waiting for our Match and considering I was champion, I went out first and waited for the other two opponents to join me in the ring. "The following match scheduled for one fall is for the RAW Women's championship!! Introducing the challengers! First from Elmwood park New Jersey! LIV MORGAN!!!!" Liv spun around and shook her shoulders upon her name being calssed and then stepped back. "Next, from Edwardsburg Michigan! RUBY RIOTT!" Ruby then posed to her name And when she stepped back. "And Finally, from Ennis Ireland, she is the RAW Women's champion! PHOENIXXX" I spun around and held my title at the back of my neck before stepping back again and giving Henry, our referee, my title, he held it above his head before handing it to a different official and declaring for the bell.

The second the chimes sounded Liv and Ruby immediately started to attack each other, usually I would get involved but I just sat back and let them tear into each other until Liv fell and rolled out of the ring. An already exhausted looking Ruby turned to me to find a large grin on my face. "Let's go!" She shouted, motioning for me to come for her, I just shook my head "nah. Cmon Liv! Get back in the ring! Don't be lazy!" I shouted pointing at the blonde, I knew ruby would think I was distracted, so when she ran for me, my hand latched onto her throat and I continued to shake my head at her. She was panicking, I could see it in her face but I didn't care. My mouth twisted into a grin as I lifted her up into a South of heaven before going for the cover. I thought I had this one in the bag; but I honestly forgot about Liv, and she broke up my pin before the 3 count was up. This is where my frustration began to show but I had to try and keep myself calm to give myself the best shot at retaining. I stood up and engaged in a brawl with Liv until we were both quite tired. Eventually the brawl was broken up by Riott with a super kick to my ribs; the impact unintentionally propelling me into the steel steps.

The pain that surged through my back was like falling on thousands of needles, it hurt to talk, to breath, to move in any way but I knew the feeling of a broken bone and this wasn't it, so after recovering a little I stuck my hand under the ring and felt for the deadly handle of a kendo stick. My smile growing as I swung it around in my hand while walking up the steps and back into the ring. The snap of the kendo roared throughout the ring as I swung it onto Liv's back, breaking up her pin on ruby. She immediately rolled out of the ring; screaming in pain and I turned my attention to Ruby, swinging that kendo stick into her so hard it broke under impact. She didn't roll out of the ring though; she just stood up in attempt to attack me and gain advantage. I smiled at her as she rubbed her back; trying to assume a fighting position once again.

We began to throw punches at each other and she was slowly losing herself; I was gaining advantage and then I noticed her. Liv, perched on the top rope, preparing herself for a cross body. Ruby was still latched onto my arm so when Liv went for the crossbody, I forced myself away from riott which did cause me to fall over, and I caught myself on the bottom rop but it ultimately inflicted damage on my other opponents. Liv had only covered her top half as the cross body was meant for two people; she had tweaked her knees and Ruby hit her head on impact from Liv's attack. My chest rose and fell deeply as I eyed up the turnbuckle; both women were still recovering. This was my chance. I climbed up the post and waited patiently for my opponents to stand up before performing my finisher on both women. I looked at them both and pulled both of them into a cover for the three count, neither of them being able to kick out. "Here is your winner! And STILL the RAW Women's champion! PHOENIXXX" sounded through the speakers along with my theme music as I rose to my feet; my title being handed back to me; a smile printed on my face.

My first match since wrestlemania where my title was on the line and I won. It felt like the big stage again; the crowd just as loud as they were upon my return. This is what I was made for. I felt great to be back. I was back home...
