I had missed the martial arts studio, and working with the kids, and today was their final lesson before Christmas it was only one group, and it was a group of mixed ages, and genders. So Trav asked me to come over and surprise them, and maybe give them a few tips. I of course said yes, but just to make it a little bit more exciting, I had instructed trav to take the kids to my gym, so we had a ring, and luckily for me, a certain Aussie wrestler was up to join me in the ring.

We waited for about ten minutes until trav walked in with about fifteen confused children. "demi, go wait in the gym, pretend you're training or something, I'll text you when I want you to come in" I said, she nodded and left, then the children realised who was waiting for them. They raced into the training ring and swarmed me with hugs "Sydney!" they shouted, each of them grinning at me. We caught up for a moment and I explained why they were here. "Now, today you guys mentioned that you wanted to be a WWE superstar. Because of me and one other person, Rhea Ripley!" I watched the shock rise in everyone's faces as Demi walked into the ring and stood by my side. We let them have a moment and then I continued to speak "we can give you a little taster of the wrestling world, more specifically, hand signals, and how to read them..."

I paused for a moment to let everyone talk about what I was about to teach them. "Okay, the first one is pretty obvious and it will be used during tag team matches, it is a vital way of communicating and you need to make sure you pay attention or you could cost you team the win. Usually if someone wants to make the audience think you are going for the tag but aren't, they'll have plans to the floor" I said, demi facing her plan to the floor as a demonstration "this means that they will not receive the tag, because something is likely going to happen, take this for example, Rhea take to the apron, James get in the ring with me, April, stand on the floor next to Demi" We assumed the positions and I ordered demi to hold her hand out, palm to the floor "now as you can see, Rhea's hand is facing down so, when I reach for a tag, there is no way I can legally tag myself in, from here I know that April will interfere and stop me from getting the tag" April  pulled Demi off the apron "and now I know that I'm about to pack a punch, or counter James' attack. It'll go a little like this" We demonstrated a sequence and then allowed the kids to train like that for a little while.

"right now, we move onto a very famous move in wrestling, the DDT, who can tell me the difference between these two demonstrations, Rhea when you're ready." I waited for Demi to nod before setting up the DDT, hitting her back and performing without a counter by her. then, once she recovered, i set her up again, but this time without hitting her back, and she countered. Some of the kids raised their hands to answer the question "cody" "the first time she didn't counter the second time she did" he laughed, sarcastically. I smiled at him and took a step closer to him, he knew how I taught the kids, I had been teaching him since he was five, he knew I hated snarky remarks. "you wanna be smart with me Cody, you do this to Trav, huh?" I asked, he bowed his head, giving me my answer. I held my hand out to him and he joined me in the ring "If you're so smart, you should be able to read my gestures!" I shouted, setting him up for the DDT, repeating the same process on him that I did to Demi moments before, only this time he failed to counter on both DDT's. "now can anyone tell me what Cody failed to read!" one of the younger students, Alia raised her hand and I called on her "he should've counter when you didn't hit his back" "very good! now, maybe instead of being a smartass, you'll listen, and get something out of this" I said to the older student, he nodded and took his place next to his sparring partner.

I taught the class for a little while longer, then allowing Travis to step in and take over for the cooldown, I enjoyed working with them again, even if some of them misbehaved, I cared about all of them and even made sure that Cody was alright after I taught him a well deserved lesson. The kids were sad to see me go again, but I made a promise to all of them that I would visit again once they were back and I was going to keep that promise. I thanked Nick for letting us use his ring before heading home. Demi got to the shower before me so I had to wait but I didn't mind, it gave me time to cuddle with the dogs, and think about something near and dear to me, my career. "shower's free" She said, placing a towel on her shoulder "Dem, have we... had any calls about my clearance" I asked, looking over to her, she sighed and shook her head, walking over to me. "not yet love, we'll find out soon enough" she said, kissing my forehead. I nodded, a little disappointment shown in my face, she knew what wrestling meant to me and I was powerless. "go, take a shower. I'll be right here when you get out" she said, letting go of me and leading me into the bathroom. The moment I finished my shower she guided me into our bedroom, and before I could do anything, she lifted my off my feet and placed me on the bed, ordering me to stay on the bed.  I obliged and put my full trust in her, she removed the towel from my body, smiling at the view in front of her, she paused for a moment examining me but then she moved to a drawer and pulled out some pyjamas and began to dress me. "you know... all this time out of the ring might be beneficial. You're going to be one hell of a challenge when you come back." she said, pulling my head into her chest. "If I come back, you mean" I said taking the blanket and pulling it over the both of us. "No, I mean when. You'll come back, I know you will." she smiled, shutting her eyes, my body shutting down into slumber as I murmured the words "sure I will"...
