....friends???

I entered the living room to see that demi hadn't awoken yet. I didn't want to wake her up so I quietly walked into the kitchen and started to brew a coffee and take my meds. "Morning...." a low, croaky voice with that Aussie accent said behind me, startling me a little. I turned around and met with demi, hunched over and half asleep, I couldn't help but laugh, which earned a death stare from her. I took my cappuccino of the machine and put another one in for demi. "So, what are you doing today?" I asked her, sitting myself on the kitchen counter. "...don't really know. Prolly do some training then look for a place to stay tonight. And you are doing...?" I watched her as she stretched, her shirt lifting just enough to see her bra. I snapped out of my 'trance' to her saying my name. " Well, I'll get some training in, then I have no idea what I'm doing...and as for you finding a place to stay, stay here as long as you need" she looked at me with sincerity, me saying that reduced a lot of her stress and I knew it.

"Thankyou.. it- means a lot" "well yeah it's really no problem, we can get some of your things if you want. After training." She nodded and pulled me into her chest, placing her chin on my head. "Come on then, we gotta train today.." demi eventually said, reluctantly, she didn't want to break the moment and it showed. I got dressed and I had washed her gym gear that she had in her car so she didn't have to go back to her place. When we arrived together Nick made no attempt to hide the grin on his face. "Demi go straight in I just need to speak with nick" she nodded and took my bag to my locker for me. "So... how was NXT" I smiled at him and told him about it, I knew that eventually he'd ask about- "and what about you two. You've been together a lot lately" -that. I sighed "she doesn't want to talk to Dimitri so I said she could stay at mine. Nothing else" he snickered and then let me go.

I entered the sparring ring just in time for demi to finish her shake, I had drank mine in the car so she didn't have to wait. After some stretches we began to spar. A lot of the time She had the upper hand but for some reason she was going easy on me today. We paused for a moment when she held my shoulders down, straddling on top of me, my face burned a bright pink and hers matched. I placed my hand on her cheek with hesitance, when she relaxed a little I flipped her over and rolled her up, securing her shoulders to the mat. I held her for the count of three before letting go and just laying on her stomach, we were both exhausted now and we agreed to go home. I drove her to her shared apartment with Dimitri and she begged me to come with her. Eventually she convinced me to join her and she used her key to open the door. He was sat in the living room watching tv and we tried out best to ignore him.

"So you're finally coming home..." he said following us to the bedroom. Demi reached under the bed and grabbed a suitcase, placing it on the bed and opening her drawers. "Nope. Quite the opposite.." "Demi c'mon we had a misunderstanding. Come jome" "no! Because it wasn't just a misunderstanding! We were going at it for months kev! This relationship is toxic! We can't keep pretending to love each other anymore!" She said, frustration evident on her voice. He nodded and left the room and she finished packing. We left as quickly as possible, wanting to leave the awkward atmosphere.

Things lightened up when we got back to my place, we had nothing to do other than to watch tv so that's what we did, at least that's what we did after I found some space for her clothes to go. Demi was adamant about watching slasher films and horror movies so eventually, with enough convincing, I gave in. I, myself loved horror and slasher films but i get spooked really easily, which I think was a tactic of hers to get me closer to her. Right now we were watching the movie 'hush' and I was slowly creeping closer to demi with every single scare. I was practically sat on her lap at this point. "Dud I don't think you can get any closer to me than you already are." Demi laughed as I clung on to her arm "imma try bitch this shit scary" she couldn't stop laughing at my response and then after a moment of silence I could sense that she was nervous, her breathing had hitched and become more shaky. Whatever she wanted to do, she was nervous about it.

"Hey Syd.." I hummed in response to the girl who I was cuddling in to. "....nevermind" I wouldn't let her hide away her feelings this time. "Demi." "Yeah?" "Tell me what you wanna say"  she brought her hand down from the side of her face and I shifted my position so I was face to face with her. "Look... I know that you might not be ready which is perfectly fine. But, for me, when I was with Kevin, my love for him disappeared the second he threatened to make sure I couldn't see any of my friends again, I just stayed with him because I thought that if I resolved my problems with him my love would return. But it didn't, I guess I was just a little afraid of being alone. And the day I kissed you, although it was a stupid thing to do while I was with him. It made me realise that I haven't felt love for him in a while and to be honest Sydney that kiss was the most meaningful thing I've ever done. Everything about it was real and there was no denying it" she was sincere with every word she said and she meant every word spoken.

I was shocked, couldn't lie, but I felt the chemistry with her and I knew it was real. "Please say something..." she was desperate to know how I felt. "I-" I couldn't speak I was too shocked to form words, I sat in silence for a moment and saw the hope fade from her eyes, I could express how I felt with words, but Maybe be I didn't need them. I pulled her in by the nape of her neck and connected her lips with mine. It took her a moment to process but then she embraced it.  I pulled away placing my forehead on hers. "you still need words?" I asked she smiled and shook her head, kissing me again. We were interrupted by trav and Izzy cheering I immediately hid my face in rhea's shoulder "Finally bitch! The chemistry between you two drove me insane!!!"
