(I updated syds hair I didn't know how to incorporate it into this chapter but I'll show you what her hair looks like now )
28th Oct 2018
My leg still wasn't 100%, it was better but not 100%. I had a match tonight against Shayna and it was a title match, I've fought with an injury before but something was worrying me about this match, This day in general, I didn't know what it was, but it made me uneasy. And it was obvious. I had taken my meds but I still felt like I was on the verge of a break.
"Syd have you had your meds?" My girlfriend's voice grew louder as she came closer to me, I slammed down the glass I was holding onto the kitchen counter, a surge of anger pulsating through my body for an unknown reason. "Yes I took my meds!" I turned around, attempting to leave the kitchen but being caught but the girl that loved me most. "Woahh! What's wrong with you?" She looked concerned about my outbursts and short temper "this! The constant nagging and feeling like I can't do anything unless I take those fucking meds! it's so hard and I can't do it anymore!" She obviously retaliated, not because she wanted to but because she cared "Yeah Syd some things are hard! Believe me I know!" I turned around to her and with that moment I didn't care what came out of my mouth "no! You fucking don't know Demi! How could you possibly understand what it feels like to have person after person walk out on you! You have no idea what the fuck goes on in my head! You think you do but you really fucking don't!" Her shock pulled her away from me and I had realised exactly what I just said "Demi i-" "get yourself ready. You have a match." That was her only sentence before she left me on my own...
We hadn't spoken since this morning and It honestly had knocked my confidence a little. I knew I wasn't 100% with my leg and now I had fallen out with demi so I wasn't in the right mind for my match. My leg continued to bounce throughout hair and makeup, my hair being tied into space buns on either side of my head and the stylists working on my face trying to make my makeup as clean as possible.
I knew I would be told off for the hammer but it wasn't coming into the ring with me so the officials couldn't bite my head off. I sat on my own, playing music on my phone while waiting for my cue, demi was in the building somewhere and I knew she'd be watching my match, my entire heart and soul would be staring at me while I performed, it worried me a little. I made my way into the ring after a while, facing Shayna baszler as she stood in the ring.
After a moment of staring off my title was handed over to the official, as well as the hammer, that would be prohibited of use in the match. He called for the bell and this match immediately fell to the favour of baszler when she immediately attacked my braced leg, I fought her off as long as I could but to no avail, I eventually fell to my knees, clutching onto my previously injured right knee, my knee gave me a distraction that resulted in her sending me out of the ring after a knee to the side of my jaw. She rolled me up and for a split second I contemplated just letting her win But I couldn't lose it, not yet. I pulled my left shoulder into the air and rolled back out of the ring, closely followed by my opponent, I grabbed her before she could react and slammed her against the commentary table a few times before breaking the countout by pulling her back into the ring. I made the long, risky climb to the top turnbuckle and failed to execute any moves before she recovered and threw a forearm. It connected with my nose with quite some force, so much force that everything around my nose went completely numb. She pulled me into a superplex that I couldn't escape from and the thing I knew my shoulders were planted and the ref had already counted two hits. Out of pure determination I pulled my shoulder up right before he hit his hand on the pad a third time, stopping her from getting The championship, at least for a little bit.
After a while Of back and forth offence we were both pretty exhausted, but I, once again, was on the short end of the stick, she had me in an ankle lock in the center of the ring for a while until she had seen me struggling enough and pulled me by my neck to a standing position, though it was very hard to keep hold of the standing position from the exhaustion and the lightheadedness of both me and bazler. She gathered enough strength to throw me head first, in a DDT that I wasn't quite able to counter, her arm wrapping under my leg in an attempt to pin me, but my sheer determination forcing my shoulder up and keeping the match going, right now the only thing I cared about was that title and I'd split if I lost it. Her sign of frustration gave me an advantage to get my arm under her jaw and lock it in place, she had more ring smarts than I did, and due to her ring smarts she knew to stand up and take advantage that way. Once I was on my knees she reversed the grip and pulled me into a tight lock under my chin, causing me to panic, I knew from my exhaustion I wouldn't last long, so I threw myself back so she was pinned and forced her to break the hold. She moved quickly to get her hold back on my neck, I was still fighting but the lack of oxygen was making my eyes blur and my arm fall limp. No matter how much I fought my body gave out and the official had to call it. I lost. She won. Yet I didn't wanna stop. My head felt like it was splitting. I wanted to rip into her. I wanted to make sure she knew who actually was fit to be champion, I rolled out of the ring and came face to face with the hammer that I had brought in earlier. I couldn't just let her win, I had to teach her.
Next thing I knew I was being ripped away from baszler by multiple officials, my face bleeding from the nose, my smile wide and menacing. I waved her a slow wave as I headed backstage, checking my nose to see how much blood I had lost. The moment I hit the locker room every single woman shifted to one side, I assumed they were scared of me and all I could think was. Good. I got changed and cleaned up what was left of the blood on my face before taking my bag and making my way to the exit. I may not be the champ anymore but I sure as hell was the most intimidating woman in the locker room now. Right before I left that feeling, the one that made me snap earlier, it came back, I didn't know why but it did. I took one more look at the center, to see if I could see demi, but when she was nowhere to be found I just left. And my heart sank. Stood next to my car, my sister, in the flesh.
