I was ready. I hadn't given this much thought towards a match in a while, but this is my best opportunity to prove to the entitled assholes that I knew as officials that I was fit to work, and I wasn't the bipolar freak they thought I was. I was completely and utterly capable of what anyone threw at me, and I wouldn't stop showing that unless I was told to do something else.

"I don't know Syd, I just think it's a little soon you know?" Demi said taking my hand in hers and kissing the back of it. "But Vince said-" "fuck what Vince said, I you're no ready then you shouldn't be in the ring." I knew she'd be worried, about me, granted I was nervous, but I felt ready. I kissed my girlfriend reassuringly"I'm ready, now come on, the poison pixie won't wait forever for you." I grabbed my bag and pulled demi to the car. We drove to the NXT performance stadium and went our separate ways to get ready.

"Oh my god! Where have you been girl?!" She shouted, squeezing me tightly. "I can't tell you here, I will though, I promise." I chuckled as she let go of me. We sat catching up for a while before being called over to do our intro.

THIS IS A SONG ABOUT THE PERSON I LOVE!!!

I walked out, pausing on the stage and waiting for Shotzi to come out on her little tank. We made our way down to the ring together as our announcer explained who we were and what match it was. We danced about the ring while waiting for Kota and Ember to show, once they did, shotzi Took her place in ring and I took a place by the ring post on the apron.

Ding ding ding!

Showtime. I watched Kota and shotzi engage in a collar-elbow hold, standard practice during a match like this, though I made sure to cheer on my tag partner so her motivation to win would grow, it did, she overpowered Dakota and pulled her over to our corner, holding out her hand for me to tag myself in. Shotzi knew that we would work well together, and trusted me, which is why she lifted Kota into a delayed supleax and I, dropkicked Kota with enough force to cover damage but not hurt Blackheart in the process. I rolled up Kota at the first chance I got, she managed to kick out but struggled to get to ember, who failed to recieve the oh so desperate tag. I wrapped my arms around Kai before throwing her into a German suplex, I held onto the bridge formation as it counted as a pin but once again there was a kick out, after that I tagged a fired up Shotzi who sprung into offence.

She was doing well, but Dakota has a wicked scorpion kick and it knocked quite a bit of wind out of shotzi, it was now an offence chain alternating between moon and Kai and they weren't holding back, at all. In a way it was good because they were really firing me up so when shotzis hand weakly brushed over my hand, I sprang into action, they had no time to breathe now, I was ready for anything. My heart pounded as I climbed the ring post, eyeing up a laid out ember Moon and performing a corkscrew moonsault onto her torso. Cover, I thought I had her but Dakota's interference was enough to knock me off my game. I had to move fast and pull out a win to prove that I'm fit enough to be here. I watched her slowly climb to her knees, to which I ran and planted my knee under her chin. I had to move fast, and I didn't need Kota getting in my way, I ran at the corner of the ring and speared Kai off the apron, but it came with a price, my shoulder slammed onto the floor and I knew it was gonna take effect on my performance, but I would do anything for the win, even if I injured myself in the process.

I Took a moment to myself, compose my thoughts and push away the pain from my mind. I made a slow climb to my feet, then up to the ring post. I stood straight up, looking directly at Ember and as she stood up, sprang towards her, into a hurricanrana. After yet another kick out I needed a bit of time to fire up again, so I tagged in shotzi. I watched her spring about the ring, attacking Ember Moon in ways I didn't know were possible, I was amazed, I knew she wanted the win as much as me. And I knew that Dakota was waiting for the tag, distracted by Ember's calls for help, I knew she wouldn't notice me dropping off the apron. I ran over and pulled her legs from underneath her, neutralising her for a while, I noticed Shotzi was in harm's way and I had to get to the tag. I had no choice but to sprint, just barely reaching her tag before she was dragged away by Ember, who was yet to realise that I was now the legal competitor.

It took her a while to realise that the referee wasn't counting down her pin, so long that I had made my climb to the top turnbuckle, where I jumped off with double knees to either side of her face. The second she hit the floor I hooked her leg and my whole world shifted at the sound of that bell. I did it. I proved to not only myself but the entire WWE universe that I was fit to fight, that I would win no matter the cost. There was an entire rush of relief that passed into my head as Shotzi helped me to my feet while holding my right arm into the air, she was of course cautious not to touch my left shoulder because she knew how hard I had hit the floor earlier and didn't want to cause further damage. We took the moment in and continuously hugged one another before heading backstage. I was met with my girlfriend looking extremely worried "I'll leave you to be, text me Syd." Ash said as she walked away, blowing a playful kiss at me. "You hurt yourself. Didn't you?" Those were her first words to me, no congratulations, nothing, just 'you hurt yourself'. "I'm fine now, it'll just bruise, I told you that I was ready. You just have to accept that sometimes I'm gonna get hurt, it's not a big deal."

"It is a big deal, it always will be! I don't wanna see you get hurt! I love you too much to witness that!" She said, clutching my wrists. I brought my face closer to hers and whispered"everything's gonna be okay, Demi. I'm careful, I know my limits now" I pulled back with a smile on my face and watched her eyes dilate. "God, you're coming with me, now-" and before I had the chance to argue, I was being pulled over to her car...
