Tink:
It's five o'clock, AKA time for me to walk down the aisle to my forever. Unfortunately, the nerves are making me want to puke and Logan looks like he is going to cry any second now. Jace walks down the aisle with Rose and then the music starts up. "Oh shit," I mutter, putting my hand on Logan's arm. "Hey, it's going to be okay," he promises, tucking a loose strand of hair back into place.
We start walking and I realise the reason for the late timing. It's dark, unseasonably warm, and the night air is lit up with twinkling fairylights. Everything is white and the edges of the gazebo is strung with green garland laced with white fairylights. The music isn't even the traditional tune. Logan and I walk down the aisle to the sound of Sam Smith's song, Stay with Me. Tears spring into my eyes as I look around at all of my childhood friends standing and smiling proudly at me. "Nice catch," Bobby mouths and tilts his head to the side. I giggle and when we reach the alter, the music stops and I see tears coming from Logan's eyes.
"Daddy," I giggle, wiping his cheeks with my hand. "Oh great now you're crying," he says, inhaling deeply, leaning against my hand. I giggle again and wipe away my own tears carefully. "It's okay Daddy. It's a wedding. We're supposed to cry," I say, kissing his cheek. He silently nods and places my hand in Peter's. Bobby Singer comes up to the alter and I guess that makes sense. In this world, he is the closest thing to a real priest that we've got.
After most of the vows, Peter stops him. "Sorry Bobby, but I've got to get a couple of words in. You know, just to make sure that Tink knows what exactly she's getting into," Peter says. I smile and the whole crowd chuckles, including Rose from behind me and Jace behind Peter. "Tink this is going to be hard okay? I'm leaving and I understand if you are going to hate me for it but know that I love you. Unfortunately loving you is one of the most selfish things I can do because the pain I am already bringing you isn't what you deserve. I love you," Peter says, looking right into my eyes. "Peter, I know. That's what this whole thing is about. It's about getting each other even though we don't deserve it. I love you too," I say.
"Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Bobby asks. "I do," I sigh happily. "Do you Peter, take Tinkerbell to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Bobby asks him. "I don't know..," he says rolling his eyes. "Of course I do," he says, smiling as big as the moon. We put the rings on each other and Bobby smiles. "You may now kiss the bride," he announces. "Thank god," Peter says, smiling and flipping his hair out of his face and pulling me to him. The crowd cheers as he kisses me, laughing into the kiss.
"Now, would you please excuse the short intermission and move to the sides for the transformation of this space," Jace says into a microphone. Everyone stands up and moves over. Xavier smiles up at me and moves the chairs into circles around tables that floated over. Telekinesis. Gotta love it. There is one rectangular table placed at the head of the room, Peter leads me over and pulls out my chair as aimless chatter fills the air.
Champagne is poured for those of age and Peter and I. Then my dad stand a up and walks over to the microphone, taking a cue from Jace. "Alright, is this thing on?" He asks quietly. Jace gives him a nod and Rose sits closer beside him, snuggling into his side as he places and arm over her shoulder. "Most of the time the best man would be the one to kick off speeches but I wanted to do it so here it goes," Logan says. He clears his throat and I smile, sipping at my half glass of wine.
"First of all, I just want to personally thank you Peter for saving my daughter in so many more ways than I ever could have. Second off, I knew from the second I saw you together. Tink was fourteen, Peter was how many ever years old he was at time," Logan says, earning a few laughs, "that one day I would have to walk her down the aisle and hand her over but I am still not prepared to let you go baby girl. So how about you do me a favor and not get too lost in that happy little bubble of yours and remember dear old dad once in a while," he says, clenching his jaw. I stand up and walk over hugging him tight. "How could I forget?" I ask quietly. "My turn," Jace says after Logan sits back down.
"Alrighty, Tink we've been through a lot, Peter, I still am not sure if I like you yet. But seriously, you make Tinkerbell happy and that is all that matters. You keep her happy and I might not hurt you. All of your girls ferociously looking at Tink need to chill," he chuckles, addressing the whole crowd, "like seriously, go hide in the freezer for a bit. I know Peter is cute and I did a great job planning and Tink looks dazzling, but chill. This is a wedding. Stop guy scoping the groom," he laughs, causing Peter to laugh. I can feel his chest shake and I lean against him and listen to the rest of the speeches. I would tell you what Rose said, but I know she would want to reveal that.
Dr. Xavier moves the space around again, but only moving it slightly, making room for dancing. My dad and I slow dance to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman as the last Father Daughter dance. Then me and Peter slow dance to Somewhere in Neverland by All Time Low (the acoustic version). We all do some more dancing, break for dinner and cake smashing, pictures and then back to dancing.
At around ten Peter laughs and pulls away from me. "We should get to the airport. The flight is in twenty minutes," he sighs, approaching the microphone. Jace beats him there. "To the steps my fellow wedding goers and we will commence with t he throwing of Asian dinner at my best friend and her new husband!" Jace says, obviously a little drunk. I start laughing very hard and Peter starts laughing at me laughing. We head out to the front, Rice raining over us and I kiss Jace's cheek. "Thanks Jace. I love you. Be good to my sister. Make good choices!" I say, getting into the car with Peter.
I change into a red dress with but keep the blue converse with great difficulty as Peter drives down the street with me struggling in the back seat. "Babe, you just kicked me in the head!" He says at one point and laughs. "Sorry," I say, climbing back over the seat and kissing him. "I am trying to drive," he warns. "Sorry," I sigh, laying against him. "I love you," I sigh, as he wraps his arm around my waist. We show up at the airport and he pulls our bags out of the back. We board our plane and he still won't tell me where we are going.
"You'll see," he keeps insisting. The engines start up and I feel this major anxiety creep in. "You are so pale. Are you okay?" Peter asks as we start moving. I shake my head and grab his hand. "Mrs. Peter Pan is afraid of flying. How ironic," he mutters but puts his arm rest up and strains against his belt to hold me. He sings to me softly, the words of my favorite song almost drowned out by the roaring engines. I fall asleep warm and scared. When I wake up we are in a taxi and Peter is speaking in Italian to the driver. The sun isn't up yet and I can't tell exactly where I am. "Welcome to Paris," the man says in broken English when he sees that I am awake.
"You brought me to Paris?!" I ask excitedly. Peter nods, a smile appearing and I kiss him. "Like he said, welcome to Paris, Mrs. Pan," Peter says, making sound a little more sexual than he probably meant it to sound. "Wow," I say, leaning back. "That came out totally awkwardly," Peter says, staring out the window. "It works best when you say nothing at all," I comment, hugging him. I give him puppy eyes and before I can talk he sighs. "Go ahead. Call your sister."
