Rose:

On the way to our rooms Jace was silent. “I messed up.” he muttered, not seeming to notice the fact he said that outloud. “What do you mean?” I asked, since I was still pretty much in the dark with this mission.

I knew three facts:

1)Both Tink and Jace were shot

2)It was personal

3)Jace was an idiot and did something that Tink had told him specifically not to do.

“Well, since the mission is over I guess it’s safe to tell.” he said with a sigh. “We had to kill Tink’s dad.”

        “Oh.”

Jace nodded and continued walking, “She was hurt, and I decided I should do it. I couldn’t let her get hurt could I? So I did it...against her orders…” He finished looking up at the ceiling as if asking what he should do.

Like in most situations, I had no idea what I would’ve done in that situation. Sadly, I figured it would most likely be what Jace did too.

“It’ll be okay, she just needs some time. Give it a little time to blow over, okay?” I told him, placing a hand on his shoulder and he took my hand in his. “Thanks Rose.” “No problemo Jace.” I replied giving him a light kiss. He gave me a small smile. “You really think this will all blow over?” “No.” I replied automatically. “I mean, give her just a day or so to cool off them apologize. That’s going to be your best bet.” I guessed, and he nodded. “I was thinking that too.”

Finally we were standing outside of our rooms and gave him another kiss, “Goodnight, I love you.” I said and he gave me a tired smile, “Love you too.”

He walked to his room and quietly closed the door and I heard him flop onto the bed. I laughed silently and went into my room.

When we saw the bunker where Sam and Dean lived, I’d met Bella. She and I were actually a lot alike. Also, we talked for longer than Tink realized, we basically talked first and introduced ourselves last. Though she was slightly younger than me, by like a year or so, we were pretty similar.

“So that blond guy who ran off, Jace, is your boyfriend?” she asked me, and I nodded, “Mhm, sounds like something he’d do.” “Sounds stubborn.” she told me with a laugh and I nodded, “We all are in our own ways.”

We’d exchanged emails too. “So you don’t have a phone?” she asked, and I was about to tell her about my being a demigod but I kept my mouth shut. “Uh...yeah.”

I pulled open my laptop and found an email from her.

        Rose,

Hey I saw Tink, and she looked pretty mad. She okay? And is Jace okay too?

I smiled to myself, it was nice that she was getting worried, not good but nice because she could’ve blown off everything and just been carefree or something.

Hey Bella,

Yeah, she’s ever so slightly PO’ed, I think she’ll be fine and Jace is just feeling guilty so far as I know. Thanks for asking.

We emailed for the rest of the night and I realized I may have made a friend. Possibly the first new one in a long time. Huh.

In the morning I got up and felt sleepy, slightly regretting staying up to three in the morning emailing Bella.

I slumped down to the kitchen and sat with my head in my arms. “Somebody’s tired.” Logan said as he slid a bowl of cereal over to me and I nodded. “What gave it away?” “I think being tired makes you more sarcastic.” he said with a laugh and I rolled my eyes, “No.” I took a bite of the cereal and tried to hide my disgust (it was Reese's Crunch. Yuck peanut butter.)

“Anyway, where’s Tink?” I asked and Logan shrugged, “Not here, she went back to the Thorn.” I nodded and asked, “And Jace?” “Went out on his bike. Should be back any minute now.” he told me and I smiled, my mood perking up.

As if on cue, I heard the motorcycle roar and I jumped up, Jace walked in and I hugged him, “Morning-” “Morning Rose, but uh...I kind of went to go apologize and I may or may not have made things worse.” he blurted out and I sighed, “What did I tell you?” “I’m sorry I just couldn’t sit back any more.” he said, throwing his arms up and storming off.

I don’t think Tink realized how much she affected Jace…
