Tink:
"You what?" I ask Jace. "I was bringing her what she asked for and she was shirtless. I don't know. It was sad ya know?" He says, sounding generally concerned. "Jace that's rude," I respond, flipping through channels. "No, I'm talking about the scars. When I saw her all I wanted to do kiss every one of her damn scars and tell her she's going to be okay and make sure that no one ever hurts her like that again," Jace says, sounding angry now. "Jace that's sweet," I say, finding my favorite movie. "She looked so embarrassed. We're you embarrassed the first time Peter walked in on you shirtless?" "He's never walked in on me shirtless," I say, eating a celery stalk. "So what's Peter up to?" Jace asks, dropping the subject.
"Getting me a soda right now. He's been going at it with Alec all day. He's pretty sore but it's not from fighting," I say, feeling confident enough to say it. "Haha very funny," Peter laughs from the kitchen. "I cannot believe you just said that," Jace chuckles over the phone. "Just don't bring it up with her," I encourage. "Okay. Sure thing," he says, hanging up. "My head is throbbing," he moans, handing me the soda. "Well than take a nap," I say, putting my feet up. He puts my feet back on the floor and lays his head in my lap. "Nap time," he yawns as I run my hands through his hair.
I basically just watch a movie until Rose gets home right after Peter is pulled away again for more paperwork. We talk for a while about how Jace saw her and all but how self conscious she is feeling. Then she goes to sleep amd I figure that I have to go home with Peter to see my kids. "Jace do me a favor and wake up Rose in your boxers. Make it less awkward," I say, hugging him before going home.
"Mommy I had a great time with Grandpa today," Delilah says, pulling at my sleeves. "What did you do?" I ask, putting her on my hip and dancing around the living room with her. "We got ice cream and saw a movie and then we came home to hang out with grandma and the twins," Delilah says. "Well guess how much fun we're about to have?" Peter asks, taking her from me. "None because it's bed time," Delilah says.
I wake up to the shrill ringing of the telephone. "Tinkerbell, I can't believe you told him to do that!" Rose squeals. "Your welcome!" I say, hanging up and laughing. Today's going to be awesome.
