Tink:
"Rose back up, I've got this," I say, taking off my necklace. "You won't do it," Wendy says, looking at me with a confident glare. "I so will. You are afraid that I will but you know that I've got more than you do," I say, preparing to lose my magic and do the world a favor at the same time. "Oh honey," she says with sympathy. She snaps and Rose is thrown back into pain. "Than why haven't you done it yet?" Wendy asks. I throw it at her feet, my good magic extinguishing her evil in about two seconds. A bright white light appears and she looks about forty all of the sudden. I can feel my hair going back to the platinum blonde it started as.
Rose stops gasping for air through the pain and sits up, looking at the lady in front of us. "That's what happens when you by black market magic. It's not generic. It's actually fifty percent black sand and the other fifty percent dark magic. Now when you get the magic from some one who actually cares about you, it is pretty much the most powerful thing imaginable," I say, pulling out cuffs. "Wendy Darling you are under arrest, you have the right to remain silent. You have the rights to an attorney, if you cannot afford one the court will appoint you one," I say, reading her the Miranda rights.
"So it's really over?" Jace asks, from the back where he sits with Wendy. "Yes. As long as my dad can keep the jail running smoothly, she'll be fine and also sentenced to life. No doubt about it," I say, pulling into the Institute. "Another debrief tomorrow, perfect," Dad says, coming to the car and pulling Wendy by the arm into the building. "Back to my house we go," I sigh, taking the car instead of zipping out. "What was that back there?" Jace asks, sitting in the front by me. "My magic was more powerful than hers, the container I kept it in was the only thing keeping it from canceling out her magic the second she came into the room. It's like a magnet. White magic works to destroy Dark magic and so on. Breaking the tube like that let loose every particle of my magic, destroying every piece of hers," I explain.
"Well that was a very brave thing to do. Might earn you a promotion," Jace says laughing. "You got a promotion didn't you?" I ask, getting gity. "Oh we are so throwing a party you are now a Sergeant! You've been working on that for what two years?" I ask him, punching his arm. "Three," he says smiling. "But shut up, I haven't told Rose yet," he says, punching my arm back. We go upstairs and Peter looks worried. "Are you okay?" He asks, coming over to me. "What? I'm fine. I mean I just arrested some one while in my sweats but what ever," I say, happily surprised by the tight hug I receive.
"No fatigue, no nausea?" He asks, shining a light in my eyes. "What? No, I said I was fine!" I exclaim, slapping the flash light out of my face. "Aggression," he mentally notes. "I'll show you aggression if you don't shut up!" I say, covering his mouth with mine. "Okay, so you are fine," he laughs, pulling away from me. "Mommy who was that?" Delilah asks. "Oh honey that was no one," I say, picking her up. "She looked like you though," Delilah argues. "Coincidentally. Now I was going to make breakfast, you two hungry?" I ask Jace and Rose. They both nod. "We're teenagers, what did you expect?" Rose asks. This lets pretend like nothing happened plan is working great.
