A/N; Plotting, planning, paranoia and whatever other P word can be added here, like pissed or pack your shit and go eat rocks Tyrion. Maybe I am bashing him just a little, he just has one of those faces I guess. Varys sends a raven with disturbing news, Tyrion wastes time advising Daenerys on what she definitely isn't going to do and Jon and Dany bond a bit. Ser Davos and Missandei are captains of this ship, they are my babies and I love them! Enjoy! Song for this chapter is Ivy by Taylor Swift.
"How's one to know?
I'd meet you where the spirit meets the bones
In a faith forgotten land
In from the snow
Your touch brought forth an incandescent glow
Tarnished but so grand
So yeah, it's a fire
It's a goddamn blaze in the dark
And you started it
You started it
So yeah, it's a war
It's the goddamn fight of my life
And you started it
Oh, I can't stop you putting roots in my dreamland
My house of stone
Your Ivy grows
And now I'm covered in you

Daenerys
She had never been a patient woman, the lowest moments of her life had involved waiting for the coin to fall and when it did, the complete upheaval of all she'd known. As a child it had been her and Viserys, living off of handouts and the goodwill of others which often came with its own set of conditions, then running when the money ran out or Viserys offended their host one too many times. It became more terrible as she grew older, as she'd grown into her womanhood, she'd quickly learned her body was seen as nothing more than a bargaining tool and she had no choice in the matter, lest she risk waking the dragon in her cruel brother. There had been the long, horrible nights she spent tearfully anticipating her savage husband's arrival in her bed to satisfy his needs, she had learned how to tame him but the fear always remained in the back of her mind.
Then came the many, soul-destroying times she had to wait around for someone else to decide her fate or offer their aid, having to rely on the charity of noblemen never went well and she soon learned to take what she wanted instead. After all that, the long years of toil and struggle to claw back some of the lost glory of her destroyed house, hoping by doing so that she would never have to beg for her life or sell herself to survive, though she wasn't naïve enough to believe she was clear of it all yet. A queen is subject to her people, never herself after all, and Tyrion was forever reminding her of such.
She was waiting for her Hand to end his latest attempt to control her now, Tyrion had gone off on yet another tangent about her vile temper and how she simply must keep it in check when they descended on King's Landing, she must not threaten or accuse or do anything Cersei may see as a slight. The list of what his sister would perceive as such was endless and Daenerys wondered if she would be better sewing her mouth shut, the mad queen was paranoid, edgy, and volatile, it did not ease her worries that he seemed intent on placating her. He paced before the fire, hands moving animatedly to emphasize his speech and Daenerys valiantly fought the urge to roll her eyes, her mind a thousand leagues away and focused instead on how she could take that wretched city as hers with minimal bloodshed.
"She may be close to madness but she remains astute enough to plot against anyone she deems an enemy, which just so happens to be everyone who isn't her, you must remain calm and overlook any insult she might send your way. All will be lost if not."
