In your exhaustion you had forgotten to get answers to all of your questions from Toji. And two days later without contact had left you with a million more and a pounding headache.Which led to now, you standing in the same spot as a couple days ago, heart beating erratically and hesitantly stepping forward.
You had no idea how you would be greeted here, but assumedly not well. Especially if it were the same two as before. Plus, this was a very spontaneous trip. You had zero idea what you were going to do or say. Should you bring up Toji or would that start you off in a bad place? Probably better of not to...
As you crossed the archway darkness leaked down from the sky.
"Fuck."
Despite slight amazement, you knew you were now fucked. Especially as three people closed in around you.
"What are you doing back here?" The white haired one stalked forward, a snooty look on his face.
"Gojo! Back off." A new man yelled.
"She was the one with Toji!" He yelled.
"Um, yes but I don't work with him. I'm not trying to kill that girl or anything." You cut in.
"She's already dead." The white haired one said angrily.
"Sorry for your loss, but chill the fuck out. Toji didn't do it and neither did I." You glared.
The new guy walked forward, shooting him a look, "Your name?"
"Y/n."
"Come with me Y/n." You followed slightly behind him. "My name is Yaga, I'm a teacher here. Why did you come here?"
"I'm not sure to be honest...curiosity I suppose. It was crazy last time and I just...Toji...I apologize for what he did." You spoke hesitantly.
"You certainly have guts coming here alone, much less so soon. I'll ask again, why did you come here?" Yaga spoke.
You gulped. "Ehm...I'm interested in whatever happened before. With me. And, as much as a little brat he seems to be, I wanted to make sure that boy was alive."
"Gojo recovered fine." Yaga nodded, unable to hide the little huff of laughter at your words. "You know nothing of jujutsu?"
"I don't know what that means so..." You said bashfully.
Yaga frowned, "What is your relationship with Toji? I find it hard to believe you're close enough to come save him and yet know nothing of his life."
You sighed heavily, looking to the side, "Toji is a bit of a user, ya'know? I got attached, but he doesn't care much." Yaga seemed to catch your drift and left the topic. Thankfully so, because revealing Megumi right now is not an option.
"Right well, your cursed energy is controlled for your circumstances. Can you see it?"
"Like the aura thing around people? Yeah. I see how it moves, or flows like water." You nodded.
"If I were to train you, I can't say how you'll be treated here. Your association with Toji got around fast and he's not well like around here." Yaga warned.
"Its okay."
Yaga nodded, "Lets set a meeting for next Monday, 5pm? We still have more to speak about."
"Hm, I'll be here."
"I'll see you out."
Yaga stopped at the end of the pathway, leaving you to make the trek back.
You sighed once coming back to your car, two people standing beside it. Gojo pouting and the other offering you an apologetic smile.
"You two certainly keep popping up." You grumbled, unable to keep your eyes from trailing over Gojos neck. "I'm sorry about that. Is it okay?" You pointed toward your throat.
"That's not what I'm pissed about."
"That's not what I asked."
"We wanted to apologize for earlier." The dark haired one elbowed Gojo, "It wasn't necessary to come off so hostile."
You shrugged, walking closer as you were quite a distance apart, "It was fair enough I suppose." There was a moment of silence as you eyed each other before you cleared your throat, "Thank you for letting us go and helping diffuse that. I'll always be grateful."
He nodded.
This day was full of long sighs.
Toji answered the phone after only two rings.
"Yeah?"
"I just went back."
"...What?"
"I went back. That white haired boy, Gojo, is fine. And I'm going back to get help training..whatever it's called."
There was a moment of silence before Toji drawled out, "I figured something like it would happen."
A bit of guilt welled up in you at the ever so slight sad tone in his voice.
"Unless you will. Train me."
"I can't." He immediately shut down, "They're the best people for that."
"Why can't you?"
"I don't have cursed energy."
"Oh. Then..." You frowned, huffing, "Listen. I don't like what you did. But, I can't say I didn't have thoughts of it being something of the sort. Will you stop?"
"It's how I make my money-"
"Fine. Quit doing that and live with me. I'll pay for yours and Megumis necessities."
"Seriously? Do you know how expensive kids are?"
"If you work with me I can accept more jobs."
"Okay."
"Okay." You sighed, "We'll talk about it more this weekend. I have to get back to work."
"See ya sweetheart."
You threw the phone in the passenger seat, slamming your head back.
Was this a good idea? What were you getting yourself into? Was this too much of a handout?
Your brows furrowed.
Am I being mean? This is just helping out. Especially helping Megumi. It's helping Megumi.
For whatever reason guilt, fear, and nausea we're eating at you. A couple tears dripped down.
What am I doing?
I don't want to be used.
I don't want to be lied to.
I don't want to be betrayed.
I don't want to be disappointed.
I don't want to be hurt.
Gojo frowned, looking away.
Geto glanced over, "What?"
"Nothing."
Geto smiled slyly, "Feeling guilty?"
