Chapter 9

Jacob was excited to finally start his Rooks club. Evie did all the paperwork and said she would join. Now Jacob just needed to find people. He decided the club would be for the students who wanted to have fun and make the campus a better place. He went to the main quad and started handing out flyers that Evie made. "Join the Rooks!" Jacob handed a flyer to a someone passing by. "Hey you join the Rooks" he pushed another flyer into someone hand. Everyone seemed to be confused as to why a freshman was screaming on main quad.

"Well Jacob you certainly look like a religious fanatic" Evie teased walking up to Jacob.

"Hello Evie do you mind helping?" Jacob pleaded. He really wanted people to join his club.

"Ughh fine I don't have classes for another hour." Evie took some flyers and started passing them out. Passing out flyers went by quickly as Jacob and Evie were about to wrap up a preocular man wearing a top hat walked over.

"You two must be related" the man smiled at them. Jacob and Evie gaze a puzzled look at him.

"Umm yeah who are you?" Jacob asked.

"Well, I'm the one and only Robert Topping at your service!" he bowed down to them "and I have a proposal"

"Which is what?" Evie asked very confused at the theatrics of this man.

"You see I have a" Robert looked around and whispered "fight club and I was wondering if you two would to join and I can find members for your Rooks?

"Woah a fight club, sign me up!" Jacob said wait too loud.

"Shhh you can't scream it" hushed Robert.

"Yeah, for real Jacob the first rule is there is no fight club" Evie butted in.

"Ohh I like the way you sound" Robert looked at Evie "anyways let me know and here is my card should we be in contact" Robert handed Evie a standard looking business card she swatted Jacob hand away as he tried to take it.

"Hmm what an odd lad. I want to join" Jacob watched as Robert walked away with a weird gate.

"You know it sounds illegal but I am inclined to check it out. Shall we call the number later?"

"We shall" Jacob smiled back just then another Freshmen walked up.

"Excuse me, are you starting a club called the Rooks?" she asked she looked familiar, Evie thought.

"Yes, do you want to join?" Jacob was excited that someone was finally interested.

"Yes, I'm Claudia by the way!" She smiled at them. "Is it cool if I send a text to my roommates for them to look into the club too?"

"Yes the more the merrier!"

"Awesome sending it now" she was texting away on her phone.

"I'm sorry, do I know you? You look familiar?" Evie broke in.

"Yes, you may know I'm Ezio's little sister" She looked up from her phone and saw the Frye twins' slacked jaw.

"I knew he had a brother but not a sister" Jacob said now seeing the resemblance.

"Yup Fredrico is a TA here and Ezio's just a student like me. We have another brother back home in Italy." Claudia loved her siblings; they always made her laugh. She was so glad she got to go to the same university as her brothers. The trio talked about Ezio and Evie and Jacob told Claudia about them. Claudia also wanted to make a group like Jacob had but the paperwork looked like a lot of work. Jacob and Claudia agreed they would co-own the Rooks together.

"Oh, crap I have class I'll see y'all later" Evie waved goodbye and ran off.

"Well Claudia I'm glad to be working with you" Jacob stuck out his hand and Claudia shook it.
