Everything is Due ; Nothing is submitted

Chapter 14

One of the biggest soccer games was coming up soon. They would go against their rival school Abstergo. Abstergo was a tech school and way more advanced than the old-fashioned Davenport. The team was practicing hard on the fields. Jacob hoped they would win so they might have a chance at state championships and win a ring. Eivor wanted to win so he could impress Randvi. Arno wanted to lose so the season could end early and Elise could comfort him. Demios was doing a wonderful job of being the captain. He did have a natural talent for leadership and it was put to use on the fields.

"I hope we win so we can go to the Championships," Jacob said as he was wiping the sweat from his brow.

"Yeah, that would be awesome!" Exclaimed Eivor.

"I don't know how to feel about it. I hate practicing and all that I just want to be done" admitted Arno, taking a sip from his water bottle.

"Maggots get back to work" yelled Demios.

"Well you heard the man," Eivor said, getting back into practice. Practice finally ended and the duo made their way back to Homestead.

"Hey, we should invite the girls to the game" suggested Arno.

"Why so you can show off your mad athletic skills to Elise?" teased Jacob.

"No Arno wants to show off how good we are at being seat warmers," laughed Eivor.

"Haha very funny you guys" Arno rolled his eyes and sent out a group text anyway.

Elise was cooking dinner when her phone went off along with the others. "Oh, I forgot the big soccer game is this week and Arno wants us to come, we should do it!"

"Oh, it would be nice to support Jacob" Evie chimed in.

"Yeah, we should do it! It's not like we don't have anything else to do" encouraged Aveline.

"Sounds good to me and Elise gets to see Arno in action" Maria added, smiling deviously.

"I mean Arno is cute and French..." Elise blushed. He also saved her from icky Germain

"You should ask him out. I think he feels the same way" Evie noted remembering how Arno wanted to always be with her.

"Oh, I don't know. I like where everything is right now. I don't want to ruin anything you know"

"I mean you should make your move" advised Maria.

"Okay I'll do it if you ask Altair out" Elise grinned and looked over at Maria.

"Eww no I'm good" Maria made a face of disgust.

"Okay well, dinner is ready so let's eat!" Elise exclaimed.

The day of the big game arrived and Maria was running late. She texted her friends to go ahead and save her a seat. She was running down the hall when she smacked into someone.

"Watch where you're going idio-" Maria looked up and saw Altair was offering a hand to her.

"What was that?"

"Oh nothing!" she blushed.

"Where are you heading to in such a hurry?"

"The Soccer game! It's already starting so I don't want to miss any more of it. You're more than welcome to join?" Maria offered.

Altair made a face of shock and then disgust. "I'm good I hate...soccer"

"Oh really? You don't have to be so disgusted. I'm just going to just to see Arno, Jacob, and Eivor. Jeesh"
