Everything is Due ; Nothing is submitted

Chapter 23

It was Sunday and Altair was going over what to expect next Saturday for their NYC day trip. Not everyone was able to go but a good chunk of the Brotherhood would be there. "So basically, we will leave here around 8 am and arrive in the city around 9 am. If you get here before 8 am we'll have some free breakfast foods. We are first going to do basic tour stuff see the statue of liberty and all that. Then we will do team activities. We will first do a rock-climbing excursion at a rock-climbing part after that we will then have a scavenger hunt. Everyone will be in teams but the teams will be randomized the day of that way we can work with a brother we aren't familiar with. Got it?" Altair explained. This was one of his favorite activities it's how he and Conner got to really know each other.

"We need to get here early for the free food," Jacob said looking at Evie she just nodded. Altair then wrapped up and everyone then packed up from the meeting.

I hope we're in a team" Jacob said looking at Evie as he gathered his stuff.

"Same we can use our twin power" She and Jacob really could read one another and know what to do next. Jacob's methods may disagree with hers but at the end of the day, they got the job done.

Aveline then rolled her eyes at them "that's so unfair" she did wish she had another sibling.

"I wish Elise and Maria could come" sighed Arno. He was going to miss Elise.

"It's for one day man" Eivor patted Arno's back. Arno nodded agreeing with his point. They all soon headed back to the dorm

The rest of the week went by fast and it was now Saturday morning. Maria and Elise were sad they couldn't go but they understood. As Evie was getting ready, she walked out into the living room area and went to knock on Elise's door. She needed to borrow some bobby pins. As she went to knock Arno opened the door startling Evie.

"Woah" she took a step back surprised.

"Oh sorry" Arno blushed. "I'm leaving now." He then hurried out of the dorm room.

"Oh sorry!" Elise slipped out of bed just wearing one of Arno's t-shirts "do you need something" she yawned.

"Umm yeah, just some bobby pins," Evie said feeling shocked at what she just witnessed. Elise then nodded and looked for some. "So did Arno spend the night?"

"Yeah, he did," Elise said still looking for the pins. She had a wonderful night with Arno.

"Ohh okay" Evie nodded. She so badly wanted to scream how that was against visitation but knew if she did Elise would not be too happy.

Elise then found them and handed them to Evie "have fun today" she smiled and then shut the door.

Evie then sighed and got ready. She then met up with Aveline and the two started to the lobby to meet up with the guys.

"So, uh Arno spent the night," Evie told her.

"Yeah, I know I could hear them" Aveline's voice sounded gruff and tired. "At least I had the decency to get laid at the other person's place"

Evie then made a face of disgust "Oh shit I'm sorry."

Aveline then made a long sigh "it's fine. At least we can get some breakfast before we leave. But if I'm alone with Arno I'm killing him so just a warning"

They then saw the guys in the lobby. "Hey Arno long time no see," Evie said sarcastically.

"Yeah..." Arno said quietly. He was hoping he wasn't too loud last night. There was a long silent pause.
