Chapter 31

Hope debated on what to do about Arno and Elise. She was just so confused about everything. She kept wondering why they were obsessed with her and Shay. She had done a great job at keeping everything quiet or at least she thought. As Hope sat in her office, she made Liam tell Elise and Arno to stay back. Hope knew she had to go over there in a few minutes and was preparing what to say. She couldn't exactly threaten them but she could make Liam fail them. Liam then came and knocked on Hope's office door.

"Come in," she said.

"Hey, so Arno and Elise are waiting they seem confused. Why are doing this?" Liam was confused. He knew Hope had them last semester but had no problems.

"I just need to see if they want to be chemistry majors" Hope lied. She got up and hurried there. She didn't want Liam to know exactly what was going on. Liam did know She and Shay talked once over the Summer but she kept it short and brief. She hoped he wasn't getting ideas.

"So why are we here?" Elise asked sitting in the lab next to Arno.

"I don't know he was super cryptic about it?" Arno shrugged. The door then opened and Hope walked in. Elise and Arno were then very confused.

"Dr. Jensen" Elise started.

She then got in front of them. "Do you know why I am here?" she said sternly. They both picked up she sounded angry.

"No" Arno answered.

"I am here because your drunk friend paid a visit to my yard on Valentine's and told me something" Hope was still shocked about that. She was just trying to have a quiet evening.

"Wait what did they say?" Elise asked feeling her stomach drop.

"Who was it," Arno asked curiously. He knew his friends got plastered on Valentine's Day but did not get the details because they were so hungover and kinda forgot.

"The Viking-looking one," Hope said crossing her arms and glaring at them.

"Eivor?" Arno looked at her confused. "What did he say?" he was getting anxious from this conversation. He glanced over at Elise and she looked pale.

"He said that you two are stalking Shay and me," Hope said calmly trying to hold it together. Arno then turned the same shade as Elise. They both knew they were caught. "You realize this can lead to expulsion" Hope actually had no idea about that but wanted to scare them.

"Wait no!" Elise said. "We weren't doing it to be creepy we were doing it because we're nosy."

"Yeah, I followed it was Elise's idea" Arno shot in. He did not want to get expelled for this.

"What Arno" Elise replied back angrily "you joined your as guilty as me." The two then started to bicker with one another.

"Enough" Hope interrupted. "I need to know why you are doing this"

Elise and Arno then sat there for a second. But Elise knew they were already here. "Okay so here's the thing. We were bored and I heard you talking super weirdly on the phone on the first day of classes. After that, I was intrigued. We meant no harm if you have to expel one of us let it be me, I dragged Arno into this" Elise was feeling awful. She did not think she would get caught. She was going to kill Eivor.

"I just..." Hope sighed still confused "My life is not fascinating." Hope defended herself.

"But it is!" Elise confessed "I mean you're with a guy no one wants you to be with and on opposite factions. On top of that, it's a secret. I'm sorry but that is fascinating." She loved star cross lover romances for some reason.
