Evie woke to an obnoxious sound that was her alarm. She knew she had to get up and break the news to Maria about Robert. She laid there for a second debating on if she should run back to London. "Damn it" she whispered she had to do the right thing and tell Maria. She got out of bed and put on a t-shirt and jeans and got ready. She came out and knocked on Maria's door. The poor girl was probably asleep. She knew it was 8 am but Maria needed to know especially before the Templar meeting tonight.
"I don't think she came home last night," Elise said walking out into the kitchen to make breakfast. "I didn't hear anyone come in and I was up with homework till 2 am"
"Oh, darn okay I guess I'll text her" Evie pulled out her phone and sent the text that they needed to meet. Evie went to class and waited for Maria to respond. Lunch soon hit and Evie decided to actively look for Maria. She went to the library first and saw Henry.
"Hey Henry, have you seen my roommate Maria?"
"No sorry but off-topic did you enjoy last night" Henry wanted Evie to enjoy the ghost club.
"I did! I thought the library story was gruesome but intriguing". Evie and Henry started talking about ghosts even more and decided when October hit, they would go to a haunted location together. "Oh, my goodness the time! I have to find Maria" Evie looked at her phone and saw Maria had texted her back. Evie felt bad she and Henry just really got lost in conversation. Evie texted her back and told her to meet at the dorm but Maria said the Student Union would be better. Evie now felt worse but knew Maria would fight her on where to meet. Evie walked in and saw Maria in the corner typing at her laptop.
"Hey, Maria I need to talk to you" Evie sat her stuff down at least they were in a corner away from some people.
"Yeah, what's up I saw your text sorry I missed it. I spent the night at Robert's and forgot my charger" Maria looked up from her laptop.
"You broke vista- never mind okay so I have to tell you something and I need you to believe what I say please"
"Okay..." Maria nodded with a look of confusion.
"Long story short Robert wants to break up with you. I wanted to let you know before you joined the Templars." Evie then told her about how she knew. Maria sat there the whole time pale as a ghost and unmoving.
"Unbelievable" muttered Maria.
"I know I-"
"That you would lie to me! Is this some kinda sick Brotherhood prank? You know how much Robert and I love each other" Maria shouted and shot out of her chair sending it backwards.
"Maria, I know this is a lot but I-"
"OH MY GOD did Altair set you up for this?" Maria shoved her finger into Evie's face. "He's president after all and hates Robert so it makes sense. I'm going to gut that man!"
"No No Maria please listen-"
Maria threw her hands up in defiance "If Robert hated me, we would not have had sex last night!" Maria screeched at Evie. She grabbed her stuff and stormed off.
Evie then sat there very confused at what happened. That whole screaming match or just Maria screaming was maybe thirty seconds or less but felt like an eternity. Everyone was also glancing over at Evie, confused about what happened between the two. "I did not need to know about her sex life" mumbled Evie who was disturbed at that comment. At this point, she had no idea what to do and just put her hands up to her face.
"Hey, are you good I just saw that whole exchange" Altair walked up to Evie with a look of concern on his face. "Trust me I've been on the receiving end of Maria's wrath and I don't recommend stewing over it. She seems like a hot head" he joked getting closer he could now see she was about to cry.
