Chapter 22: Up to Something

Hermione: [she, Athena, and Ron are meeting in the common room] You mean You-Know-Who's out there, right now, in the forest?

Athena's family (Mia, Monty, James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, Marlene, Dorcas, Alice, Frank, Neville, the Prewett twins and all the Weasleys) pale. Mia put her head in her hands scared for her grandbaby. Ginny, who hadn't heard about this, looked over at her brother and the two girls sat with him-who she views as sisters, tears in her eyes scared for them.

Athena: But he's weak. He's living off the unicorns. Don't you see? We had it wrong! Snape doesn't want the Stone for himself; he wants the Stone for Voldemort. With the Elixir of Life, Voldemort will be strong again. He'll... he'll come back.

Many deatheaters nodded at Snape in appreciation for trying to bring their Lord back, Snape just nodded back.

Ron: But, if he comes back, you don't think he'll try to... kill you, do you?
Athena: I think if he'd had the chance, he might've tried to kill me tonight.
Ron: [gulps] And to think I've been worrying about my Potions final.

The troublemakers laugh at Ron's comment.

Hermione: Hang on a minute. [Athena and Ron both glance at her] We're forgetting one thing. Who's the one wizard Voldemort always feared? Dumbledore. As long as Dumbledore's around, Athena, you're safe. As long as Dumbledore's around, you can't be touched. [gives her a reassuring smile; she nods]

Many let out a breath they didn't know they were holding. 'Hermiones right! You-know-who is scared of Dumbledore surely he wouldn't let them get hurt' James and Lily thought. Oh how wrong they were.

Later all the students are rushing out as they finish their exams.

Hermione: I'd always heard Hogwart's end-of-year exams were frightful, but I've found they're rather enjoyable.

Many turned and looked at Hermione wondering if the girl was okay in the head. Sirius on the other hand said it out loud "are you okay in the head how are exams enjoyable" Remus then proceeded to whack Sirius around the head, causing the shaggy haired boy to pout.

Ron: Speak for yourself. All right there, Athena?

We see Athena walking next to the two rubbing her forehead right where the scar is.

Athena: My scar. It keeps burning.
Hermione: It's happened before...
Athena: Not like this.
Ron: Perhaps you should see the nurse.
Athena: I think it's a warning. It means danger's coming. [A look of realization] Ah... Oh! Of course!

"Of course what?" Asked a confused Sirius.

Athena starts walking faster making Hermione and Ron speed up to catch her

Hermione: What is it?

"Thats what I want to know" huffed Sirius, "well maybe if you shut up and watch the movie you'll find out" Remus sassed.

Athena: Don't you think it's a bit odd that what Hagrid wants more than anything is a dragon, and a stranger turns up who just happens to have one? I mean, how many people wander around with dragon eggs in their pocket? Why didn't I see it before?

Many Ravenclaws, Lily and Remus all smacked their heads 'Why didn't they think of that' they thought.

They approach Hagrid's hut and he is playing a flute.

Athena: Hagrid, [Hagrid stops playing] who gave you the dragon egg? What did he look like?
Hagrid: I dunno. I never saw his face. He kept his hood up.

"Hagrid" groaned the hall.

Athena: This stranger though, you and he must have talked.
Hagrid: Well, he- he wanted to know what sort of creatures I looked after. I told him, I said, after Fluffy a dragon's gonna be no problem.
Athena: Did he seem interested in Fluffy?
Hagrid: Well, o' course he was interested in Fluffy! How often do you come across a three-headed dog, even if you're in the trade? But I told 'im, I said, I said, 'The trick with any beast is to know how to calm 'im. Take Fluffy, for example, just play him a bit o' music, and he falls straight to sleep.' I shouldn't have told you that. [The Trio runs off] Where are you going? Where are you-?

"Please tell me you went and told a teacher" Molly desperately pleaded, the trio looked at each other then back at the screen.

Athena, Hermione, and Ron run into the Transfiguration classroom to talk to McGonagall.

Athena: We have to see Professor Dumbledore, immediately!
McGonagall: I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here. He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately for London.
Athena: He's gone! Now! But, this is important! This is about the Philosophers Stone!
McGonagall: [Looking shocked] How do you know-?
Athena: Someone's going to try to steal it!
McGonagall: I don't know how you three found out about the Stone, but I assure you it is perfectly well protected. Now, would you go back to your dormitories, quietly [They leave the classroom talking to each other.]

"That's why we never tell teachers because when we have they've turned us away" states Athena.

Athena: That was no stranger Hagrid met in the village. It was Snape. Which means, he knows how to get past Fluffy.

Snape sneaks up behind them.

"Oh fuck off Snape" Sirius sighed dramatically.

Hermione: And with Dumbledore gone-
Snape: Good afternoon. Now, what would three young Gryffindors, such as yourselves, be doing inside on a day like this? [The three of them jump and quickly turn around.]
Hermione: Ah, w- w- w... we- we were just-
Snape: You ought to be careful. People will think you're... up to something. [Walks away]
Hermione: Now, what do we do?
Athena: [With a determined look] We go down the trap door, tonight.

"No no no no no no no no" Lily kept chanting. James tried to calm her down but she was still visibly shaking.

It's later during the day and the camera pans to Athena who is walking down the corridor towards the great hall.

Fred:[running to catch up] Athena! Hey Athena! Wait up! [Athena stops and smiles at Fred]
Athena: Hey Fred are you coming to the great hall?
Fred: Y-yeah to come find y-you [he scratches the back of his neck]
Athena: [opens her arms and spins] you found me, what's up?
Fred: [snorts] the sky [Athena rolls her eyes but smiles] I was wondering if you wanted to help me do a prank
Athena: yeah absolutely! When? And on who?
Fred: Now and it's a surprise [Athena pouts but nods her head] so the plan is....

"What's the plan?" Screamed the trouble makers they turn and look at Fred and Athena, whom have managed to secretly move next to each other, they shrug leaving the trouble makers to whine. Sirius crosses his arms and pouts, Remus just stares at the boy smiling at his childishness.
