EXT. HOGWARTS - DAY
Leaves, now a molten brown colour, drift off of the trees around Hogwarts. It is now October.
EXT. HOGSMEAD - DAY
Hermione, Ron and Athena walk down the crowded streets of Hogsmead, avoiding the swarms of other students.
Athena: Where are we going, Hermione?
She leads them confidently. They stop before a slightly seedy looking pub.
"It looks...nice?" Narcissa tilts her head.
Hermione: There we are
Ron: [Confused] "The Hog's Head", Hermione?
Athena: Woah, woah, woah Hermione. Did you finally consider our plans of kidnapping Umbitch! I knew you would agree
Laughter was heard.
Athena wraps her arms around Hermione. Said girl rolls her eyes then leads them towards it.
Hermione: Come on, I'll explain in a minute
INT. HOG'S HEAD - DAY
The three of them step into the pub. It is grimy and ill-lit. Shady witches and wizards sit uneasily in corners.
Except for one corner by the front window, which is populated by Dean Thomas, Neville Longbottom, Theodore Nott jr, Blaise Zabini, Lavender Brown, Parvati and Padma Patil, Cho Chang, Luna Lovegood, Katie Bell, Alica Spinnet, Angelina Johnson, Colin and Dennis Crevey, Ernie MacMillan, Justin Finch-Fletchely, Hannah Abbott, Anthony Goldstein, Micheal Corner, Terry Boot, Ginny Weasley, Fred and George Weasley, Lee Jordan, Zacharias Smith, Susan Bones and five others who Athena doesn't know.
"Merlin, she's got more friends than us" Sirius said to James and Remus.
Athena looks questioningly at Hermione.
Athena: Hermione, what's going on? Are they helping with our plans with Umbitch?
Hermione: No. There is no plan
Athena: For fuck sake
Hermione: These are some people I mentioned my Defence Against the Dark Arts idea with
She sits down. Athena and Ron follow.
Athena: You mean about us teaching ourselves?
Neville: Hey, Thena
Athena: [Smiles] Hey, Nev. Plants doing okay? [Neville nods]
"I love how she's always asks about Neville's plants" Alice smiles.
Luna: [Dreamily] It's good to see that the horned snorkle-stacks haven't gotten you yet, Athena
Athena: Uh...same to you, Luna
Hermione beats on the table to quiet everyone.
Hermione: Hi, everyone. I thought it would be good if we met and talked over how we wanted to teach ourselves Defence Against the Dark Arts [Pause] Because we need to learn it properly, not the rubbish Umbridge is doing
Fred: Hear, Hear!
The Prewett twins laugh at their nephew.
Hermione: Obviously, this will help us pass our OWLs, but more importantly, it gives us the ability to protect ourselves from...Lord Voldemort
Many flinch.
Several people jump or wince in fear at the name. Hermione takes a shuddering breath, looking exhilarated. She looks at Athena.
Athena: [Looking proud] That's the first time you've said his name
"I was and still am incredibly proud" Athena states, smiling at Hermione. Hermione jumps up and wraps her arms around Athena.
