JEFF

Bible has got me hooked on some sort of addictive because I can't get him out of my head all morning.

I debate on tuning into the station he's being hosted in before finally giving in, if just to hear his voice.

I can't believe I just saw him a few minutes ago and I already miss him.

I listen to him get interviewed about his projects and whatnot. He responds charismatically and I can tell the hosts are charmed by him.

"So Bible, tell us, are you seeing someone as of right now?"

Fuck!

This is why I was unwilling to listen to the interview in the first place.

In the entertainment industry, especially for someone like him who just got into the scene, he cannot openly admit that he's seeing anyone even though he were.

I hold my breath as I wait for his answer.

Bible chuckles first before responding in classic Bible style. "Why do you ask? Are you interested?"

The hosts laugh at his response but push for an answer.

"Well, unfortunately I'm single."

I'm not surprised or disappointed in his response. I knew it was coming and to be quite frank, it keeps the fans hoping and day dreaming.

"Well, that's great news. So all the boys and girls can finally hit on you, right? Or do you have a preference?"

The question is meant to bait and Bible falls for it. "I'm strictly a ladies man but I don't have a preference when it comes to women."

The hosts chuckle and the rest of the interview carries on but not interested in listening to the rest of it.

I pack up my stuff and head out, ready to get to the studio but before I can get to my car, my phone starts ringing.

I contemplate ignoring it but I see Bible's name flash on the screen.

"What's up?" I respond, putting him on speaker and climbing into my car.

"Did you listen to the interview?" His voice is quiet and clouded with worry.

"Hmm"

"I.... I freaked out and said... shit Jeff. Everyone online is going to chew me for this. They are going to think I am homophobic. My manager says I need to do some intimate shoot with Build but I don't know..."

Of course I knew he'd get backlash for claiming he's straight. BL actors are expected to keep some sort of façade so as not to delude the fans of their fantasies. He should have known this but since he's new to all of this, I don't blame him.

"It's fine. No one's going to make a big deal out of it."

"It's not that... that's not what worries me Jeff..."

"Then what is it?"

"The promotional shoot. You don't mind me having intimate photoshoot with Build? Everyone's going to be talking about it. Shipping us together."

I hide my laugh at his question.

"If I said I didn't want you to have the shoot, would you still have it?"

"I would stop it."

I shake my head as I pull out of my home.

"Bible, I don't care what you do as long it helps with your career. On screen, you can do whatever the hell you want and it won't affect us but, offscreen... when there are no cameras, just make sure you remember whom you belong to."

"Fuck!" he breathes.

"You do understand whom you belong to, don't you Bible?"

"Yes." his voice comes off heavy through the speaker.

"Then say it."

"You Jeff. I belong to only you."

"Good. Now get back to work and do some damage control."

"Okay. I'll see you tonight?"

"Tonight," I say, hanging up.

This game Bible and I are playing is a dangerous one.

I can't help but wonder whether I'm Bible's first relationship or whether his other partners had an issue with his work. If he is going to continue work in the BL world, then he is going to have to learn to separate work and personal life.

But he is not the only one.

On the drive to work, he is all I can think about and I stay distracted all day thinking about him. So much for separating my personal life and work.

When Apo calls, I take it as a chance to take a break from recording.

"Hello stranger?" his voice is teasing and I chuckle.

"What Apo? you always call when you know something. You are like the village gossip lady."

He chuckles at my question which only proves me right. Apo knows everything about everyone. Maybe it's because he is such a social creature that basically gets along with everyone.

"You know me so well," he laughs. "Anyway, guess who I ran into at the radio station. He was wearing a familiar jacket. A black jacket that looks eerie similar to yours."

"I'm not the only one with a black jacket, Apo."

"Okay, how about the blue jeans with unique patterns that..."

"Fine fine," I concede, looking around to make sure I am alone. "Bible spent the night over at my place and I let him borrow my clothes. Is that what you wanted to hear?"

"Well, I asked him and he vehemently denied having your clothes. Said he just had a similar pair."

Fuck!

"You tricked me," I chuckle.

"I did and you fell for it. So what, are you guys together now or something?"

"Or something..."

"You should have told me. I was rooting for you guys. Anyway, why don't we all go out for drinks tonight to celebrate?"

I chew at my lip and I think about it. "Apo, no one can know about Bible and I."

"I know," he says seriously. "But it will be just friends hanging out. No one needs to know anything unless you guys starts smooshing and getting all lovey-dovey in front of everyone."

"Why do I have a feeling that you didn't call to ask me but to tell me?"

"See, you know me so well. Meet me at the Blue paradise. Six sharp. All the guys will be there. Tell Bible to bring some of his friends too."

I shake my head before hanging up. To be honest, I could use a drink or too. I have been soo focused on work and... Bible, that maybe what I need is to relax for a night.

I text Bible the information before going back to work. This time, I am able to focus on my recording my new music.

My mind is calm and focused as I work through the day, with no idea the disaster waiting to unfold when night falls.
