BIBLE

"Hey, Bible, the guys are here."

I look up from where I am seated to watch my co-workers turned friends walk in my direction.

Everyone in the bar is watching them but that's normal considering they are now famous.

After our series, Kinnporsche, aired, it became a huge success both locally and internationally. I went from being just another guy in the streets to famous in a single day. The show also introduced me to some of my best friends.

"Have you been waiting long?" Apo asks, grabbing the bar stool next to mine.

"Nuh, I just got here myself," I say before turning to greet the other guys. Some of whom I've shared the screen with and others I'm just getting to meet for the first time but I always love making new friends.

"What are you drinking, I'll have that too," Apo says, placing his order before turning to me a with a huge smile on his face. He is the one I best get along with. I love the other guys but his goofiness just matches my energy and that's how we became fast friends.

"I didn't think you would make it today," I say once he has his drink on hand.

"Yeah well, I am not one to turn down a party, speaking of which..." he taps his phone and it lights up. "He is running late. I don't know if he'll show up."

Apo's eyes shift to the club's entrance and I watch him confused. "What do you mean by he? Who else did you invite?"

Apo and I get along pretty well and we have many mutual friends and most of them are here tonight I can't help but wonder if he invited someone else for our little meet-up.

"Jeff said he'd pop by to say hi. I mentioned up for drinks and he said he'd show up too. Something about his performance getting canceled last minute and-"

Everything goes static after that.

Did he just say that... Jeff was coming?

I swallow hard at the news. I mean, I don't hate him or anything but...

"Oh- there he is," Apo says excitedly.

I follow his eyes to the entrance and I swallow hard. No, I definitely don't hate the guy.

Standing under the blue neon light with a guitar strapped to his back is the man who haunts my dreams every night. See, I don't know when or how this little crush on Jeff even developed but every time he's close, I forget how to breathe.

Literally.

Apo waves at him and Jeff turns his eyes to our direction. An easy smile forms on his lips that has me reaching for my drink. I gulp the bitter liquid, ignoring the burn to my throat, in an attempt to hide the effect Jeff Satur has on me.

My heart jackhammers in my chest with every step he takes towards us. Any minute, any second now he'll...

"Hey Bible."

His voice is sultry when he calls out my name and... my dick hardens in an instance. Fuck! I am super grateful for the dark club glow that helps hide the erection.

That's the other thing. I thought this crush I have on him was platonic because of his angelic voice or just from spending too much time together but it's not.

He... Jeff, turns me on.

And I am freaking out.

"Jeff," I croak, beckoning for the bartender to get me a fresh drink. I'm going to need it tonight.
