JEFF
It's close to six o'clock in the morning when I finally wrap up my show and chat with the fans. Most of my friends have already left for home when I finally join them at the VIP section.
"That was amazing dude," Nakhun exclaims, slapping me on the back. "I thought I was coming for a little clubbing but that was a whole ass concert."
I smile at my friends and thank them for showing up especially when most of them are so busy.
"Thanks so much guys for showing up. It really means a lot," I say before turning to Apo. "Especially you. Isn't it past your bedtime?"
Apo glares and slaps the back on my head teasingly. I chat a bit more with my friends but I can't focus because I haven't seen Bible yet.
Did he leave? Already?
I mean, I would understand if he left already but I was kinda hoping he would stay. Hoping that maybe we could go back home together and spend some much needed time together.
"Hey, looking for Bible?" The all-knowing-Apo asks before pointing a figure standing alone in a dark corner.
I stare at the familiar lone figure as he stares into space.
From the distance, I can't get a read on his emotions but I'm getting some bad energy from him. Maybe I'm wrong and he's just drunk or tired.
I take a step towards him when someone steps in my path. I shift my focus from Bible and to the man.
"Hey Jeff, that was amazing. Thankyou for calling me to join you on stage."
I smile at Phun. He is one of the first people I met when I joined the entertainment industry. Our onscreen chemistry was so amazing that it paved way for other projects.
"Thankyou for coming. I know it was on short notice but-"
"Hey," he stops me, grabbing my hands. "You can always count on me to show up, you know that, right?"
"The fans loved you."
"No. They loved us, but I know my appeal. I'm a pretty likable guy." I roll my eyes at his ego but he's harmless.
Phun and I have known each other for so long that I consider him one of my closest friends in the entertainment industry.
He leans in and pecks my cheek before moving along, waving at me as he exits the club. I watch him leave, a fond smile on my lips before turning back to Bible.
His eyes are dark as they watch me approach him and I can't help but feel that something is off.
"Hey," I say when I stop in front of him.
"Hey," he says, leaning in as if to kiss me but I move away. My eyes look around to make sure no on caught the move. Even though majority of the people have left, there are still very many of them lingering along and with cameras.
